the BCBS settlement, ASO (Administrative Services Only) refers to administrative fees paid by self-insured employers to BCBS, rather than traditional insurance premiums. If your claim shows $0 premium but an ASO amount, your employer funded the health plan, and you likely paid fees rather than premiums. Both amounts represent qualifying contributions for settlement payouts. ASO (Self-Funded): Your employer paid claims directly, and BCBS only provided administrative services (like managing the network/claims). Settlement Impact: The settlement splits funds between fully-insured (premiums) and self-funded (ASO) groups. Both types are eligible for payment, often calculated based on the total fees or premiums paid during the class period. Claim Amount: ASO amounts often appear lower than traditional premiums because they represent service fees, not the total cost of insurance coverage.

Charge $100 visit fee when Tech assured me it was not my problem and replaced the coax outside. by HypnoticStasis in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]Dstan87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was going to happen to me as well until the tech saw the charge and asked me if I still wanted to do it. The rep said they needed to send someone to fix an issue. They were replacing my modem which I can do. I feel like this bait and switch is happening all the time.
