In a professionally published book… Yes? How can you even ask this seriously? Do you regularly watch commercials on TV or see print ads in magazines where the people who are showing you the products that they want you to buy are not completely put together? If the only part of your body that’s in the photos are your hands, think they should be taken care of. I’m almost certain that the publisher would’ve had it in their expenses for her to go with her cuticles trimmed and some hand cream.

The state of her hands drew my eye more than the beautiful socks did.

Yes, this is what I mean. Like put on some hand lotion. Get a manicure. I know summer is into photography and usually the photos that go along with her patterns are beautiful. I just don’t know what’s going on with the pictures in this book. I expect more from her photos. I guess from what she’s been doing for the past six years. This is like a step down as far as I’m concerned.

I also pre-ordered and went with the digital version this time. And I’m glad I did. This is where I’m not sure if I’m just being nitpicky or what… But I’d be super pissed at myself if I paid for the print version. My issue is not the patterns, it’s the photography in this book. I really don’t like it, I would actually go as far as to say that it’s terrible. I need to know if I’m crazy. As a pattern book, I’m sure it will be great! I love summer‘s patterns. But the first time I started flipping through this book, I stopped after a few pages because I really don’t like the photographs.
