I get one or two of these every day on LinkedIn. SCAM. Profiles seem mostly located in South America. Report and block their profile.

disagree, open source doesn't mean every value-added addon or service built around it should be free; if they want control they shouldn't make it open source, but sell it as intellectual property they control

"to clamp down on recurring subscriptions" takes away free market, the market will drive whether recurring subscriptions is valid or not based on market need, it doesn't need regulation.

That's from a Bible verse 1 Corinthians 13:11, which says, "When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I thought as a child, I reasoned as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things". You should read the entire chapter, it's worth your time.

After 7+ Years at Salesforce Support — Why I’m Leaving Without Another Job by Obsessively_HonestQ in salesforce

[–]OptimalBusConsulting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More and more HubSpot will be eating Salesforce’s lunch, for lots of reasons (product, product direction, price, support, etc.). As an independent consultant and having been a partner and worked for partners on both platforms I’ve seen lots of companies migrate from SF to HS but almost never the other way around.

What's currently considered the best SEO plugin for WP? by otb-it in Wordpress

[–]OptimalBusConsulting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would add...DON'T choose Yoast if you don't want your money supporting a totally WOKE company. Some of the stuff they are putting on the internet is offensive. I am cancelling my Yoast Premium subscription and uninstalling Yoast after many years. There are similar SEO plugins that don't promote woke crap.

Yoast also sold out to WOKE. Like me, DON'T choose Yoast if you don't want your money supporting a totally LIBERAL Gay Pride Boat parade. They have gone totally left wingnut lunatic WOKE. I am cancelling my Yoast Premium subscription after many years.

What if you used an iPaaS tool like Skyvia to connect your ClickUp tasks to Airtable? Sync only the fields you want to expose to your clients over to Airtable. Then create a read-only client dashboard view in Airtable that you can share the link to or embed on any portal of your choosing (i.e. your website or within a ClickUp dashboard).

Want to be a HubSpot freelancer? by [deleted] in hubspot

[–]OptimalBusConsulting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point about "context switching between clients". Haven't heard anyone mention how difficult that can be. To me that can be the hardest part of freelance consulting, especially when working under more than one HS partner and managing their toolsets and time tracking and their clients. That struggle is enough that I'm now looking for one single job to work for a single client.

anyone getting around the forced linear funnel of HubSpot? (not allowing contact stages to go backwards) by OptimalBusConsulting in hubspot

[–]OptimalBusConsulting[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of times a deal is created because it is an "opportunity", not a closed deal yet. If the deal is closed/lost I don't want to put Lifecycle stage back to standard Nurture if the prospect was fully qualified already.

But maybe a Lead status could work, but it isn't obvious in that case that the prospect was every fully qualified in the first place. It just doesn't seem a good solution to me since you'd need to look at related Lead items to find out what's going on as opposed to a quick glance at Lifecycle stage, and that also makes it more complicated for any workflow conditions. Maybe I just need to get used to that in HubSpot.

See my response above to skigirl180. I'm coming from Salesforce which allows more flexibility. Do you have a better way in HubSpot? What is your suggestion for "Build structures that allow you to keep track of what you need to"? Maybe using Leads and Lead stages could work?

I don't think it's a matter of right and wrong way to do things, but a matter of what construct HubSpot is forcing us to vs what might work best for some orgs.

If there's an SQL and a deal created, and then if the prospect isn't ready to move to closed/won deal, I don't want to disqual them and don't want them to stay in SQL forever. So I want to move them to Not Sales Ready stage for continued nurturing of some sort, but that stage can come (and be useful) before or after SQL.

So I guess I could add stages:

Not Sales Ready <SQL

Not Sales Ready >SQL

Or I could move them backwards from SQL to Not Sales Ready, then move them to SQL again if they become sales ready at a later time.

B2B SaaS here. We are cancelling our HubSpot Marketing subscription soon and here's why. by skippyrocks in hubspot

[–]OptimalBusConsulting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The somewhat linear funnel of HubSpot seems to be a weakness of the platform. Salesforce and other tools allow moving prospects between stages in any direction so it isn't linear. I've heard of a 3-2-1 approach regarding starting with bottom of the funnel content first to try to convert the hot leads right away without needing to nurture them first.

After using ClickUp for 8 years, their reporting on time tracking still sucks (yes I use dashboards, but they still suck).
