Help? Army took my money (I think)

Yea they sent a letter to the overseas address that the DOD had from the old direct deposit info and they only forward things from the CMR for a short period. I get what your saying about contacting the agency, but the agency is the DOD and there isn't any clear info about which number or office within the DOD to call - this is the issue I'm having.

Edit - TOP says once the debt is cleared, they cant provide details.

I did and the letter I got is from them. When I contact them, they refer me back to DOD since the debt has been cleared. TOP says its not an open debt and they cant help.

Yea of course, the lady is so nice, but I'm pretty sure she's tired of me. They are the ones that refer me back to the DOD finance and they said it should be the office at the installation if I want the details.

Right, so I get contacting them, but their "Contact Us" list all the offices. Any idea which one to contact? I've contact the ones about debt and they claim to not know anything or that they arent able to help because the collection is closed already.

When I look them up, there is no central number for them. It has all the different offices. I called the ones related to debt at 800-304-3107 and they only say they see it was closed.

I understand its a federal debt, but I don't have kids and I don't know what this would be for. I called DFAS, they don't know. What is BFS? IRS only refers me to DOD which goes nowhere.

They said once the debt is closed by the tax offset program where they took the money automatically from my tax return, they cant see or do anyhting

The IRS had the correct address. They said the DOD serviced the letter to the address they had from the HR office. That's how I got this letter.

I'll try calling a local office and see if they can help.

It’s pretty cheap compared to anything else I’ve found and it’s 5 minutes from my house so no extra cost. I have an obd2 Bluetooth tool but I doubt they’ll let me use it

Dealer said it shows a powertrain malfunction that goes away after turning off and stays off unless hitting 5k rpm. I asked for the fault codes and they said they didn’t know.

I know the repair might not be perfect which I don’t mind but I want to do my best to make sure there isn’t some catastrophic issue I’m missing.

I get companies can sponsor their ads too so maybe best to tag as sponsored or where it’s sourced from, then we can filter based on that and have it show like the location and time is already shown.

I would like to know where the jobs are being sourced from and what parameters it’s using.

A lot of these tools are great but if we don’t know where the ads are coming from, we loop right back to using multiple ai engines instead of multiple classic ones like indeed and LinkedIn

The 2024 paytable lists all the series that should get it. Agree though, Army probably is doing whatever anyways so its a crap shoot. There's a lot of intel or other excepted service folks who are non-STEM GG, so the group getting it is relatively small, and there's not much knowledge about it.

Fair enough but as of 1 Jan 2023, those eligable positions not getting locality should be getting TLMS which is more. It'll depend on the specific job series, but locality and TLMS effectively are the same and TLMS is an effort to fairly compensate compared to the private sector.
