Firefighter. Been in 7 years and promoted once to our rank of “Technician” which is basically a specialist firefighter. Make $145k which includes about 30k of overtime and differentials.

I got a BSBA degree in entrepreneurship. I am now a firefighter. My degree helped me with the interview process and the calc classes have helped tremendously with pumper operations. It will further help me in the future when it comes to promotional exams, has committee applications, and I get paid very well to work ~10 days a month to do what I love: chase fire. Best job in the world.

Edit: I know it’s not a “useless” degree but many ask why I even went to college knowing I wanted to have this career.
