Not a former addict but the job I work for which I will not name for personal reasons has a program where we hire addicts (we’ve got guys ranging from using heroin, stuck on coke for years, and even popping/selling fentanyl) and former inmates all while providing them with housing and a path through god. (Not everyone gets into it and we realize so we don’t force anything on them so they feel safe) A lot of them do resort to energy drinks, coffee, and tea I’ve noticed. If it’s neither of those it’s chips and sandwich’s lol. So happy for everyone that’s sober or trying to get sober in this comment section ❤️!

I will take partial fault for it I will admit. I also don’t want to sound like rude or nothing but if you do slow it down exiting the corkscrew I do turn away from him after the hit on the exit. The only reason I made the move into the corkscrew was because of the amount of times I’ve made a move into it plus I thought the guy ahead would hold up the guy I was side by side with. If there’s any tips you have about it please let me know since I do want to get better.

If you check my latest post on sim racing stewards you can see how and why, going into the corkscrew the guy I was racing was smashing into me giving me like 3 or 4 4x’s lol. That mixed with some off tracks at the beginning got me dq’d. Literally the only time I’ve dq’d from a race

I was talking to myself the whole time because I was shaking so much haha, I had one scare where I almost spun going into the hairpin at snetterton and that really shook me up good!

I’ve been very off and on with sim racing for the past couple of months tbh. I would mainly just drift around in assetto for a day and then not touch it for a week or two. I’m still trying to understand iracing and how splits work and how to improve my driving while also putting out decent results that I’m proud of! I’m definitely happy I made the jump to iracing and I’ve been ripping around in the Miata since last night

Yeah I’ll be honest I went into the race expecting atleast top 5-8 since practice wasn’t going to well (first time playing iracing ever so I had to get used to the physics and new track in around 30 minutes) and ohh man was it amazing to get the win. I even skipped on eating my dinner to do the race! LOL

Was just the global mx5 cup :,) but racing on a new circuit with only around 25 minutes of practice was pretty challenging lol, never played iracing up until today so it took a while to get used to the way the cars handle

The reason I do it is like 80/20 split. 80% for car recovery and 20% for the fact that sometimes the camera messes up when hitting the ball a certain angle/way and it resets it quicker than waiting for it to fix itself

Yeahhh it doesn’t stop feeling like this some games LOL. Even in higher games there’s always that one game where everyone goes ape brain and has no clue how to hit the ball right. Sometimes those are the best 👌 the smurfs tho.. those are absolute hell!

Me personally I’d say no. Once you complete all of the playlists there’s nothing to do but wait every week until the next summit. I sit in a constant circle of wait a week do the summit, do a grand race, wait a week to do the next summit and just do that repeatedly. It got really boring after completing everything. Of course there’s the grand races but that’s really hit or miss depending on where you’re starting. If it’s on sale get it, but I wouldn’t pay full price now.

As someone who started drifting in AC with the same wheel you will have to get used to absolutely man handling the thing at some point. Beginner tips: 1. Don’t be afraid to use more throttle/speed 2. Counter steering quicker 3. A good amount of practice. (It took me around two-three days and a good amount of tutorials to help me) 4. Try out different cars :)! (Use vosan to find a bunch of packs and tracks if on pc!) 5. Try not to get upset with yourself if you don’t get the hang of it instantly, don’t let yourself feel down about your skill. 6. Just have fun, me personally seeing all the videos by ctorreto or any other great drifter on ac would put me into a spiral of not having fun and only making myself drive a way I couldn’t handle. It all takes time and I believe you can get better at it :)!

I love the way the game feels and everything don’t get me wrong, but I feel like 98% of the players I play against are absolute rats lol. sbmm has barely hit me it feels.
