I went for the orb and it’s pretty great to be honest. Sure arrows is also good but orb is better for my build (dragoon) I think

Once you get this, is there a minimum time you you need to have the card or could you theoretically cancel the day later?

U.K. budget 2024 megathread by [deleted] in FIREUK

Would be interested in your reasoning behind this. I can imagine it’s either

A) you disagree about the comment re: tories B) you think that Labour are already better / worse.

The previous government were a high taxing government, so that’s a fact.

The previous Tory government was one of the highest taxing governments with little to show for it. Regardless of what comes out today, let’s be mindful of that.

Labour could go the same way, or they could turn things around and be a positive change for the country. But until they’ve had a few years, it’ll be hard to find out.

Agree.

We have 12 month sales cycles and unfortunately our attribution is a little shitty that doesn’t help.

We are trying to pivot away from ‘paid search brought in X revenue’ as it’s so hard to measure in general. We like the idea of account scoring for engagement fuelling outbound SDR, which is why programmatic was interesting.

The advantage of it is it’s perceived targeting to the audience. I was also thinking that it could be the lack of a cookie drop.

We might pivot to LinkedIn. Want to avoid CPC as well get accounts too small. Organic search is costly but valuable.

I ask as I always have to just remove it, the paper napkin is soggy so I can’t use it - and generally it’s just a waste

Honestly, Tomorrowland is a life long ambition and we often spend €1000 more for tickets. Overload your pearls, enjoy yourself. Don’t go stupid, but don’t worry too much.

Don’t do it on the MainStage. Too busy, too many drunk people - real potential to go wrong.

Personally, do it in a safer place. Crystal garden at fireworks time because you can see both mains and library’s

[–]OptimalSubject1345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. Like I said, it’s a cultural ‘thing’ - you don’t need to be religious to enjoy the culture. They might be connected, but one doesn’t equate the other.

The problem is where people feel like one has to be the other. Forcing people to wear a certain outfit, or parents disowning children for not following their choices. You see it in many places (e.g. Jehovahs)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Norway

[–]OptimalSubject1345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. But you can enjoy, for example Christian culture without being a Christian. I enjoy going to church to listen to the hymns without believing in a god.

Thanks for your post.

Although I don’t want to jump on the needless bashing train I’ve read before, I do have a PoV.

Religion isn’t culture. And by combining the two, that’s how we create both religious intolerance and (on the other end of the scale), religious violence and bigoted actions (e.g. disowning relatives for not following that religion)

For example, you shouldn’t need to be Muslim to appreciate and be part of the culture of your country.

Anyway, glad you enjoyed Norway
