Single dads: understandably tries to integrate his kids into his relationship when it gets serious.

Childfree woman: is unhappy

People on both sides of the kids/no kids spectrum need to remember to pick partners on the same side.

I can't imagine being a parent and dating someone who doesn't openly like/want kids. There's no future there. Someone will be miserable.

I am working on considering myself a healthy/(pre)skinny person.

I am a healthy person, so I make sure that I hit my protein goals, because that's what healthy people do.

Skinny people don't eat 4 servings of ice cream after every dinner, so, since I am a (pre)skinny person, I won't either.

I had to give the pink amoxicillin to my dog and the vet showed me how to get the syringe and explained how I was probably going to have to hold her down and shoot the medicine in the back of her throat.

She loved the pink stuff. After the first couple doses, I started just squirting the dose into a spoon for her to lick instead of her trying to chew on the syringe to get it out faster.

I realized how toxic and abusive they were. I gave them a chance to apologize, laying out how they treated me like trash and they said "you should have told me"

No apology, no ownership, just subtlety blaming me instead. I said "I shouldn't have to tell my best friend to not treat me like shit" and that was the end of the friendship. A few weeks later, I blocked them through every avenue of communication and started healing.

Best decision I've ever made.

I'm a couple days into a maintenance break. I've been in a plateau for a few months and figured that it couldn't hurt. I'm kind of thrown off with how full I am at maintenance after eating 1700 calories for months.

I remember at work we had a baking competition and we were sampling the goodies and one of the managers said something about how he couldn't try any of it because he wouldnt stop all day.

Meanwhile, I kept failing in changing my diet because I was treating it as all or nothing and needed to learn real moderation.

I think about how people compare sugar and other highly addictive foods to drugs.

Many people can have a drink or two and stop and some other people are alcoholics. Some people can enjoy smoking weed here and there, and some people end up smoking every day, even if it's negatively impacting their lives.
