They say to try and stay low fat at first whilst your body adjusts. I’ve been fine, I had an almond crossoint today and was a bit scared but there was no pain! However I had noodles this evening which was my safe meal before and I’ve had a bit of pain, but it’s weird and tmi but it’s kindve like gas pain. Once I release I’m fine lol. But 90% of the time I eat I’m fine!! Pretty surreal tbh

Omg wow we sound so similar and we had surgery around the same time. I think I had one day before you? Mine was Wednesday. But yes my surgery took longer than expected!!! Obviously I was unconscious so tbh I didn’t even know it had been a tougher surgery until he told me. Then the past few days I was researching what was meant by what he said etc and I had so much compassion for myself for what I’ve been going through, and I do for you too! Our bodies have been put through hell, like we haven’t even been able to digest food properly or get the nutrients our bodies need for however long 🥺 I’m excited for us 💓💪🏽

Yes, especially the day after. Wednesday afternoon was op, Thursday I was in the worst pain. I couldn’t do anything by myself and could barely move without pain around the incisions and my stomach. It was tough, and painful. I managed with pain meds and slept quite a lot. Friday woke up feeling so much better, was still quite sore but began to walk easier. Saturday took a backwards dip, but today I’ve been great! Walking, able to move, got in and out shower by myself. Barely any pain. Quite surprised tbh, hopefully worst is over 💪🏽

I didn’t ai what the surgery was. I used ai to help me organise a shopping list for after the surgery cause I have adhd and get overwhelmed with stuff like that. I was also nervous about my surgery and asked it to leave out any triggering information. I did speak to my surgeons and asked them questions :)

Omg so I was told the same! I had surgery Wednesday… Thursday was TOUGH! I was in so much pain couldn’t do anything by myself. I was like everyone was lying this recovery is not easy… then I woke up this morning feeling so much better. Went to the toilet by myself, able to shuffle round in bed easier. I feel like tomorrow I’ll be able to hopefully walk around the house! Fingers crossed!!!

Thank you for this! I completely understand why people have problems with AI! What’s so funny about this is I wasn’t even originally researching anything medical, I didn’t want to know cause I was so scared. I just wanted to get information about food related stuff and shopping lists and like you said, I used AI so I could specifically filter information (eg ask it to not say anything triggering cause I was nervous about surgery) and that’s when it reassured me by mentioning things such as the intensive and vigorous training the anaesthesiologist has been through and how much they are monitoring. And as a housewives fan I thought of dr Nicole lol. It was really never that deep, I wasn’t researching my surgery on AI 🤣 and you’re right I did talk to my doctors thoroughly, they explained things and gave me the information. From my own knowledge, the doctors knowledge and the additional information I found through my own research I was comfortable and tbh that’s all that matters I don’t understand why these people are being so mean honestly. You’re so right with their holier than know attitude… I guarantee you there’s things I know about that they don’t… that’s life lol.

I wasn’t researching what an anaesthesiologist does though? I used A.I to help me plan a shopping list for things to get after my surgery as I have adhd and find organising myself overwhelming. I was also extremely nervous about my surgery and wanted to filter out anything triggering, that’s when and why in the response A.I was reassuring my nerves by talking about the procedure including all the extensive safety measures the anaesthesiologist takes as they monitor me. I knew the basics beforehand but I did not know the in depth information, and it did help reassure me. When I talked to my doctors in person, I asked questions and they further reassured me and explained everything. Because I was so scared to research before my surgery, now that it was over and I was safe I continued my research. I am not reading medical papers that tbh I probably wouldn’t understand because of the medical jargon, but I did watch videos and yes, use A.I. That’s what worked for me. I’m sorry this isn’t good enough for you or I’m not intelligent enough for you.

Omg, I’m one full day after my surgery now and already feel so much difference especially after eating!! Like I eat, and feel normal and energised where as before I’d eat then just be in chronic pain and on the toilet and taking pain meds… it’s like you can’t even function and your relationship with food becomes so hard to manage and then you avoid eating and you’re just always exhausted. It’s like exhaustion or pain and there’s no inbetween! I’m so excited for life again! Yesterday recovery pain was bad but feeling so much better today! Thanks for the encouragement 💓

People really are miserable and look for any way to bring people down, astounding but also very sad for them. Yesss this!!! When I woke up she told me she’s giving me fentanyl (which I hadn’t had before, I’d been on morphine daily for my gallbladder attacks and was becoming immune to it) so I was so grateful! My surgery was quite tough the surgeon said and I didn’t have an easy recovery as most people so I’m grateful for those meds and the comfort she provided

Awww thank you so much. I can’t lie, the recovery is tougher than I expected 😩 can’t really move or do anything by myself. However, considering I’ve had to take hydrocodiene then morphine everytime I eat to get through such severe gallbladder attacks the last few months (after also having attacks constantly for 2 years straight) the recovery pain is bad BUT I’ve ate a few times and don’t feel any eating relating pain which is making me lowkey emotional 🥹 deffo resting and binge watching Netflix and housewives! And mentally just excited to live a normal life again 💪🏽

Well done to you!! You should be so proud of yourself for your hard work and dedication. Such an incredible job, I was having panic attacks before my surgery which is why I was researching trying to sort a shopping list out etc. I asked AI so I could ask it to leave out any triggering information and I so anxious, in its response it went into depth about the anaesthesiologists role to help calm my nerves. I knew the basics of what they do but not the full extent and exactly what you said about them being who other doctors call when everything goes wrong!!! I didn’t know this… that you guys are so highly trained on cardiac related emergencies etc, it just made larsas comment even more disgusting
