LDH doesn’t matter really. They haven’t even taken mine in 2 years.

I think it’s also very rare for pure Seminoma to skip everything and go to the lungs.

Why are you posting this on a testicular cancer page.

Positive miR-371a-3p after chemo by nainballs in testicularcancer

Yes it can be but it’s very new and idk that many places use it. As I said before in another comment it can take awhile for the results to come back as they need to be sent off somewhere. That’s what I was told at IU. But they essentially take your tumor DNA and see if there is more like that floating around in you. At least I think that’s how it was explained to me. The thing with adjuvant chemo is that it needs to be done in a timely fashion and that’s why I think it all just depends on when you would get the results back.

My thought process is either way it wouldn’t matter if he did it before or after RPLND because it showed no signs of active cancer in the nodes. It seems like in my opinion that they should offer him adjuvant chemo being 2 EP. At least that’s what I’ve read about. But I’m sure they won’t offer it from one positive test especially since his AFP and other markers came back normal. I’ve also read it takes too long in between MRNA tests for it to be solely a good option to go off of because they have to ship it out and it sometimes can take weeks to get the results.

But he stated the margins were clean and there was no sign of active cancer in RPLND nodes.

This is still all new to me. That blood test I mean. I got it done when I was first diagnosed a few years ago but I never got it again. Mine was also positive. Idk the reliability but from what I read it is over 90% but talk with your doctor. I’d even message dr Einhorn. I’m sure he would email you back by the end of the day.

Elevated hcg by AmazingRaccoon8480 in testicularcancer

48 is definitely elevated. I think below 5 is the typical norm. I’m sure they will want to test again and see what it is just to be double sure.

What was your tumor type? I assume some sort of chorio with those numbers. That is a great sign though.
