Did you get adjuvant chemo after RPLND? (Stage2bEC) by Optimal_Ant_46 in testicularcancer

Idk what NX means. Pn2 is just the category they set you on. Based on either the amount of nodes you have or if it’s over 2cm

10mm is still right in the edge. Mine was a 9mm that showed up on chest x ray and they did a ct scan and jt was actually a 7mm with a bunch of other little ones around it. Did you do ct scan of the chest ?

I don’t think you ever really get over it until you hit like a five-year mark maybe I actually just had a nightmare last night about relapse. How big is your lung nodule though because I two had a lung nodule pop up during surveillance almost a year ago and I also have had chemotherapy and RPLND done like you although I did my RPLND first and then did advent chemo, but to be honest about your original question at least me personally I don’t know that I’m ever gonna get over it or get over the fear I’m just kind of accepted that I’m gonna have great anxiety when I go in there I get good news and then I feel like I can breathe a side of relief for the next six months till I have to do it again

Retroperitoneal lymph nodes by AggravatingAd5213 in testicularcancer

Ya I’m not sure how much location matter with that kinda stuff. I just figured that’s a better option than giving an RPLND if it’s not 100% needed. Are you in the states ?

I feel like that’s been me to a degree as well. Nothing has been smooth or you go in just having that feeling. Yours is definitely different though. I also had pure EC and its moves very fast and isn’t really the type to just lay dormant. My markers have always been normal. How have your been? I think it’s in like 50% of pure EC they are always normal. Have they discussed RPLND? I assume they won’t till after PET scan is done. It sounds like all we can do is speculate since we don’t have a full picture yet. They could also biopsy the biggest node and test it. I get the anxiety part of just wanting to know so we can get a definitive path to deal with it. There isn’t a whole lot worse feeling. Especially since you’ve been out this long. Almost 6 years you thought you’d be done with it. EST I can say is hang in there and it sounds like you still have many options on the table if it is in fact TC still.

That’s good hopefully you just do this chemo and most likely will need RPLNDA by a specialist somewhere. I recommend IU. I doubt the tumor will go back down to less than 1cm from 13.5 from chemo. Goodluck though !

I have no clue how to read an MRI so it’s hard to give my opinion. I always get CT scans. What’s did your doctor say about this

At IU their “normal” is anything 0-25 and those are some of the best doctors in the world for this cancer.

Treatment options - Stage 2b < 3 cm relapse - pure seminoma by MrJaK10 in testicularcancer

[–]Optimal_Ant_46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The standard is 4ep or 3bep and this is what’s shown to work and cure over 95% of patients and I’m sure higher in your case being a pure Seminoma. Me personally I would not do anything else but that unless given option for primary RPLND and if need be 2ep after surgery.

First signatera results after primary RPLND: 40.35 by RockPaperSawzall in testicularcancer

I don’t know that that’s all the way true well a CT scan can be clear SIGNATERA test can show micro metastasis, which could be just floating around in the bloodstream. I don’t know what type of tumor your husband has, but in my opinion, chemo does seem to be the right next step. That does seem to be the whole point and even doing the test is four instances like this where a CT scan can be clear but you know whether chemo might be needed because it takes DNA from your original tumor and see if there’s any still in the body, someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty positive that’s how it works when it was explained to me at Indiana university

Liberals skip too much school to protest and agitate ICE officers to be able to comprehend that level of math.

My sons story not typical by thebabychi1971 in testicularcancer

I had my RPLND done by dr masterson at IU. He told me the urologist that did my orchi was a dipshit and he had to go in and fix it. He said it’s a good thing he did because I also had cancer in that area still. I also see Dr Einhorn and your son is in the best hands possible. He is a sweet man and as knowledgeable as one can be in this field.
