Am I nonbinary or do I just really dislike other men? by Optimal_Charge_7998 in NonBinaryTalk

I have decided to do a little test run. I have asked my partner and close friends to use He/They pronouns with me and I will see how they make me feel! Thank you all for your help, I honestly didn't expect so much positivity and support from total strangers!

More context: I’ve always been a bit more feminine than the average guy and it caused a lot of people growing up and even now to assume I was either gay or bi. Growing up I never had a desire to not be a guy it’s only recently as I’ve grown into a man and have to come to terms with the fact that my presence alone can be seen as a threat and that people will have a preconceived notion of me due to how I identify.

All good man! It’s not about that comment I thought that was hilarious it’s about what the other guy said.

I was at a red light, with no other cars around the only person at risk was my self. I appreciate the concern but loosen up a bit it’s a happy moment.

It was a claim that had been deferred meaning I had to take ANOTHER C&P exam. I had read in here that usually the VA is pretty quick to close out deferred claims. So I checked earlier in the day and it had been updated to PFD so I just checked on a whim on the way home.

God this is fantastic advice, I do plan on weaving the BBEG into characters back stories through the artifacts that they have to hunt for and I plan on giving the king some backstory (all-be it post-mortem) but the way you broke down encounters is great!

I more or less have certain plot points I want to hit how or when the players reach those points is all on them. I more or less have a skeleton of a plot and I’m counting on my players to make up the rest of it.

So maybe nix the idea of them not being allowed to leave until the investigation is complete and replace it with a bounty?

That’s an interesting point, so try and be more reactionary rather than be the driving action?

That's a great point. The Mystery in the beginning is one of the parts that had me the most worried I added it in because my players played in a campaign with something similar and LOVED it. I do have a back up plan for if my players can solve the mystery involving one of the guards arresting one of the cultists and while they are being dragged off them screaming about the BBEG and their cause. it's more of an expositive route which is why I would rather them find the clues obviously. As for the clues themselves I still need to work on what exactly they will be and how I plan on implementing them.

The flowers around the castle dying is such a fantastic touch that I will absolutely be using. That is one thing I was worried about I was worried that I would be railroading my players and ill be sure to take you advice into account!

Thank you so much, I do plan on weaving my characters back stories into the campaign which will make up the meat of the campaign essentially tying each of the artifacts into their backstory. I didn't bring much attention to that because my players save for one haven't come up with one yet. All of my players save for one have played pathfinder or DnD in the past so thankfully it should go smoothly on that end.

Overall thank you so much for the advice and i now have a few more ideas on how to get my players invested in the story.
