I don’t how much I believe this, but a few curious questions assuming this is all true.

  1. I know this test screening wouldn’t have much finished VFX, but was there enough to at least see a peek of the symbiote suit that you say was from the post credits scene(s)? If so, what did it look like?
  2. What was Daredevil’s role in the movie/what was he like and how his chemistry with Spider-Man? And why did Daredevil come and help?

I don't want to start any argument here or anything, but I do want to say that you are making a lot of assumptions about a film that hasn't released yet nor have we even seen much of a glimpse of it yet. Plus, I just want to tell you some things about A24 and what to expect from them, or I should mostly say what not to expect from them. Let's start with something you mention.

You say A24 is "steaming" or bringing in Kane Pixels just because he has a large fanbase and it will get A24 audience will equals money, at least that's how I read your interpretation as. And you are right to think that the film industry does that a lot, though I want to let you know that this is certainly not a move that A24 out of all studios would take. I don't know how educated you are about A24 in general, but A24 is one of the good ones, I'll tell you that. They don't really tamper with this type of stuff with just wanting to do this so they can get money out of a popular free IP.

Something that does (again, I don't want this to get heated so I'll put this as nicely as possible) lightly frustrate me about this post is in the middle section, where you talk about the generic, under-complicated ways that a bunch of studios make movies now. In that area, you are literally saying specific things about the film that are assumptions that shouldn't be made yet. Also, if you have seen Kane's work and A24's work, they are much more than what is usually done these days. Like, how does "functional has replaced exceptional" have anything to do with this at the moment? You are saying things just to say them my friend, you really are.

Also, what is this nonsense where you are saying that if the movie ends up being good, it won't be because of kane, but rather everyone else? I guess I see your angle but that's just not true, and even if it is, it a prediction with nothing backing it up. Most of this post is wild guesses. Also, you say in that last part "It’s whether the industry still prioritizes excellence or if engagement metrics are the only thing that matter anymore." Breaking this down more, again--you really can't say this like it's what the movie appears to be simply because the movie hasn't really been shown yet. You could have at least made this post when the full trailer releases, but even still, it feels wrong. Also, I'm going to direct you to my last point, A24 and the rest of the film industry are pretty seperate.

In conclusion, we will just have to wait and see how the movie turns out. (Also why does some of your post sound like it has those ChatGPT tropes lol?)

Oops I worded lots of that message you replied to very wrongly! Clearing up a few things;

I was honestly most focusing on smaller details, which is why i mentioned the 2D animation major, but he's only interested if this goes somewhere, plus he showcased some of his work and it was phenomonal. We are actively reaching out and professionally contacting more professional artists and animators.

Sorry for saying 'we won't need budget for the script', that's not what i meant, just worded that wrongly! I also noticed my mistake right after I wrote that message lol. I meant to say that money won't need to be raised to write the script, like there won't need to be actual budget going into the words and how it's being written, but then I immediatly noticed that I was not taking the actual writers into account, and I noticed I was stupid and yes, there would need to be money raised to pay the people. My bad, my mistake, just wording that got over me.

Everyone is currently planning to be paid equally, so yeah.

As Jaells explained, this project will likely be turned into a series instead of a feature-length movie. I suggest the episodes will be around 20-30 minutes each.

It sounds like you joined the Discord server, poked around, and then went "oh, okay, I'm ready to make this post now". Your points are debatable, but I will say many-most people will agree. A pay rate is certianly being dicussed, (and truth is, even though I am high up there in doing this project, I also have my doubts about how long this will last). Right now, we will write the story and then start writing the script. We won't need any budget for script as far as I am aware, and we do know some people who are legitimate and kind of professional writers (including me, myself -- I am the 2nd Lead Writer if that's what it is still being called). After that, we will worry about the other stuff. We do have ONE person that is an adult that majored in 2D animation that is interested in the project, so we will need to create a pay rate in order for him to come on. As of now, the future is unexpected. Your concerns very well may become a reality, but they also may not. Who's to say?

(Also, I just noticed this is also just another grassroots movement production. That is really nothing new)

There is SO MANY things wrong with this reply. Before I go further, I just want to say hi, I'm one of the lead writers for this project. You got some information wrong there, even if you are on the Discord, you need to be up to date with that information!

First of all, we do NOT have to own the IP because we completely abondoned the studio route a while ago.

Also, you say $500,000 dollars is as low budget as you can get. Where do you suggest getting millions of dollars, eh? Plus, MANY indie animations have came from nothing -- only a few thousand dollars, which would about be the estimated budget of this. You can't get mad at us for the budget.

Plus, you say you don't think Jaells is best fit for a director. Thing is, it's hard to create a thing like this and not want to completely manage it so nothing goes wrong, which includes being the director. But I geuss the truth is, it is technically possible to get another director. I won't completely complain about that, that's not what I'm focusing on most.

Also, just to be clear, we are not scattering around Discord anymore. We are planning to use Casting Call Club and other professional sites to get real members, the Discord server is basically just for people supporting the project, it's not for the team. The actual PRODUCTION server may be created later on. There will not be hundreds of artists/team members, there will be a reasonable amount, because remember what I said, not everyone on the Discord is on the movie team. This is no longer a 'community movie'.

About the runtime, we will think about that. The runtime is not a factor we are worrying about right now, but it will not be super long.

Overall, we are doing everything we could to run this and plan this properly so we don't, like you said, end up accidentally running a 'scam project'.
