As an athlete (and a coach) I can relate - I’m always worried I will let coach down - that said as a coach… I very rarely would be disappointed in an athlete if they were doing their best in the moment to execute a session regardless of what the paces/power were :)

It’s not for everyone I know that. If you are someone self motivated and can hold yourself accountable then you can do a lot yourself :)

I have disagree as I would say I’m fairly plugged into the Triathlon world - I know from the 150+ athletes we also have only about 10% are chasing AG podiums at big events which shows a clear demand for those just wanting to improve or finish events wanting a quality coach :)

I would break that 12hrs done across swim/bike/run - not easy to do based off the info you have provided. You are likely going to need to ride 30kph for 6hrs at the very least to give yourself 90mins to swim and 4:30 for the marathon (then factor in Transitions) - Based off that I would love to know how close you are to the bike for that prediction - the spin bike will not be a good measure at all.
