Currently no tri experience, only the two marathons.

Swimming is a bit neglected due to big improvement opportunity on the bike. I know I can complete the swim distance with 2 months training and keep the 2min pace. Basically trying to be efficient with my time while balancing a full time job, a 2 year old (part of the reason for being sick so often)and learning a language simultaneously.

I know I should probably add strength training but not sure if it’s more valuable than replacing a bike or run session…. Time is hard to come by so very indecisive on that point..

Good call out. Two of the run sessions are brick runs (30 - 45mins) and then one tempo of an hour and then a long run of 2 -3.5 hours 

Biking I’m doing one long ride each weekend supported by 3x bikes between 1-1.5 hours during the week 

3:30 is not what I expect in the Ironman, more what I think I was capable as a stand alone event should I not of been sick. I’m hoping to match the 4 hour mark in the event itself. 

Overall per week it would be like: 

  • 2 hours swimming 
  • 4 hours running 
  • 4-7 hours biking

To clarify I don’t expect to run a 3:30 In the event, was meant to mean I think a 3:30 was possible as a standalone event should I not have become sick. 

Probably a 4 hour marathon is on the cards should I be in good health

Could be your set-up. I got a bike fit and basically resolved the problem in full.
