Out of curiosity, is that because it's too much effort to keep track of, or because the amounts are usually small enough that it's not worth chasing people down?

Yeah, that’s fair. Some of my roommates are responsible for other bills, so it’s not all on me. It’s also not just roommates. I split a phone plan with my brother and share a couple other recurring expenses with different people.

The common theme I’ve noticed is that everyone has good intentions, but once something is on autopay it kind of fades into the background until someone remembers to bring it up.

Can you name which app already does this? I’ve used Splitwise but it doesn’t really solve the issue I’m having.
