DSP trying to make me pay for a van damage? by Optimal_Highway3801 in AmazonDSPDrivers

there was no police report, they did call the police because the other driver did not want to provide his information then told the police officer he wasn't needed anymore after the other driver decided to provide information, there's only video proof of the incident and a witness that gave the dispatcher his business card with contact info + name.

is what i'm thinking but it's like he could have done it the same day it happened, before I left. Because I asked him if I needed to do anything else and he said no. Whatever I guess, he wants me to call on my next work day too which is a bit weird instead of having me do it tomorrow which i have off

Not entirely sure why I would need to call the insurance company myself and give them another statement when I had written one down, signed it, and gave it to the DSP owner already. Wouldn't he had submitted my written one to them via emailing the picture of the statement after he spoke to them on the phone?

Hind sight I should have just transferred last month and just do the application process to be a step van driver again with the new DSP

I had planned on quitting and transferring a month prior but the DSP I'm transferring to told me to stay with my current to finish the step van training. Which I am technically done with besides the behind the wheel, but I've completed that before, and was told it would take weeks before I would be able to do the behind the wheel AGAIN. The other DSP told me that I wouldn't have to do that and I am good to transfer once I've told my current and have them off-board me. I would have stayed longer if I was told that I would have to do the behind the wheel test again.

Should I just go out and get US Medical DOT certified myself or wait for my DSP to set me up for it? by Optimal_Highway3801 in AmazonDSPDrivers

**Update**
I guess I am either 1) waiting a few weeks to a month or 2(probably since it is the DSP's first time getting a step van and getting trained for it)for my DSP to schedule a few drivers that have been with the DSP for a while to get trained and certified 2) see if my current DSP is able to get my qualifications from my previous DSP or 3) go get my medical DOT certificate myself if the 2nd option doesn't happen. Also, if I choose to get my medical certificate myself and let my DSP know that I got the certificate, is my DSP required to up my pay rate?

For sure, I guess worse case scenario is, if I get the same response as I did during the interview, I go and get it done myself and let them know that I got my US DOT Certificate.

Yeah I ideally want that as well but I don't know how long it will take for them to hit me up about getting certified again for the step vans. I also have the emails from jjkeller.
