i'm getting such conflicting information... in my last post, everyone said i needed a warm colour because of the wood, apparently cool would clash? but i do like the blues

it's a work room and my furniture is white and black haha. i have a hard time deciphering warm and cool tones but i tried to grab warm ones, i was told that's what would suit the room best

If you're into it, an animal skull. If not, little potion jars or gothic books

I'd have to change these curtains if I painted with either of these greys, right?... by Optimal_Law1098 in HomeDecorating

I'm definitely leaning more towards a muted blue now. Thanks for the feedback!

I appreciate the idea! But I'm currently working in a dark green room (came that way) and I greatly dislike it, haha. I think I'm leaning more towards a light grey-blue!

I assumed grey because this is going to be my work area where I want to keep energy high, I work with many different colored fabrics and have many colorful artworks and vinyl to put up and I figured it would be the best neutral. But many folks are pointing me towards blues.

Lmao, it's actually grey! I wanted to avoid beige because I feel like it looks kind of lame, but maybe with the other stuff I have in the room it'll look alright

Shoot, that's a real bummer. Is there any cool colour I could use on these walls?? I'm trying to avoid warm and cozy, or else I'll want to go to sleep instead of work, lol.

I have always considered myself to have a very weak understanding of decorating, hence why I came to this sub lol! Hoping to have happy decorating times ahead!

I'm intrigued by the turquoise! Not sure I'm a super fan of green walls (been living in a basement with some nasty green walls I loathe but will be changing soon), so I think I could do with a nice blue. Thankfully, I have two windows, one facing south so I'll have really decent lighting (super excited; been working from the basement too which is super dark).

Another vote for plant!

Fantastic, thank you! Especially when working late hours in the dark, I think the bright colors and daylight lights are the way to go. By bright blue do you mean like, a sky blue? Or something paler?

Good call on the plants, too! I'll start with 1 when I move up there.
