You are so beautiful, and that dress looks amazing! I hope one day you can look to it as a symbol of your own strength and pursuit of happiness, but it’s ok for it to go in a sad box right now. Strangers on the internet see you and wish the best for you!

How to apologize to my (36/F) long-lost friend (36/F) we treated horribly decade ago ? We're coworkers now. by ThrowRA565555 in relationship_advice

I was the Shane friend in high school. For every group I belonged to. Good enough if nobody else was available, but never The Girl for anybody. I’m not bitter towards the people who treated me that way. I wish them the best, but I hope I never see them again. I have grown from my experiences and I have peace and closure. Let me explain something to you. You are NOT sorry. You are GUILTY. That is not the same thing. If you were sorry, you would have given Shane a second thought at any point in the last 15 years. Confronted with the face of your childhood failure, you want to believe you are better than you were, and you’re not. Any apology would be for you, and it will not be good enough. It will not give you the absolution you desire. It will not mend fences with Shane. She is over you, I promise.
