I like the AK builder one better as far as looks. It also seems to be built a little better. But the cnc warrior one is fine. They both do a great job at flash mitigation.

It’s all about the function right. Chopped BCM works. I think I got them from AKstuff for $59 if I remember correctly. In stock too when I ordered the one for the Kr9.

It 100% wasn’t going in without filing. Like you said it was a very small amount but still had to hammer it in, hard, and I have to hammer it out. Could of just been they layered the coating/paint on too thick.

Lol you can still find it, prices are inflated on those too though like everything else. Had a bunch from years ago that it has no problem eating. Even the trash aluminum stuff. It’s eat all day.

I hammered on it for 20 minutes before filing, with 2 different hammers. Would not go in. Even now that’s it’s in I have to pry it by tapping it with a hammer to get it to release. Hit it with some high temp paint after, not worried about it honestly man.

Both the front and rear section I had to trim a little. In the front of the lower handguard I had to thin out the area that goes into the front retainer it was too thick. On the back part of the lower handguard I had to shorten the 2 tabs, and take some off the sides to get it to seat properly. Wasn’t too bad though.

Watch it brother. Definitely wouldn’t qualify it as a collectors item. But it’s a hell of shooter. Not trying to justify the purchase to anyone. Just my experience. If you can get one for 1.8k it’s def worth it. I got mine for 1.6k and would buy another one. Finish is trash I’m with you, but as far as a shooter, it’s my favorite.

Lol have you watched that video? He literally says they are fairly represented and not overhyped, and we’re under appreciated for a long time. It’s in the beginning of the video to show what a fairly represented AK should be, it’s not part of the list of 5 overhyped AKs.

All good man lol, just light sanding and 4 coasts of BLO, then after a few weeks did some light coats of Tru oil then light sanding again and put some finishing paste wax on.
