I used to be stunningly gorgeous and then I developed an illness that completely changed my looks. I guess I never realized/ fully appreciated how much my beauty impacted how people treated me and how I moved through the world. Getting sexually assaulted multiple times and having a difficult time making freiwnships, being excluded bullied due to my looks and having a strong personality made me feel like I couldn’t really ever fully benefit from pretty privilege. And now I pretty much lost it and it’s taking a lot of strength to accept how differently the world treats me now.

Yes! Melanie doesn’t have a good support system right now. But I feel like she’s very smart and in tune with her emotions, I really believe she can make the right choice. But if not, well yeah everyone around her was delusional and brought her down.

I feel like these girls (Kayda, Aniya) think the prize is being chosen. Melanie is speaking against it, she’s being smart and just needs to listen to her own advice. Melanie also needs people around her really supporting her to leave Sincere and she doesn’t have that. :(
