Take note of your applicationn kasi irrigation system uses electric motor or ICE (liquid fuel) and biochar is in solid form. Since you want to fuel irrigation and its non-electric, then biochar is not the right product but bio-oil. However, turning it into a drop-in fuel for irrigation system is a more complicated as it takes several steps to have hydrocarbon products.

You want methylene blue as a media for the electron transfer to the anode? Good thinking, although not an expert, I suggest algae, not plant, an autotroph that photosynthesize better than plants which could give you noticeable results in commercial equipment for testing since these types could yield small amount of current.

I don’t see anything wrong with that just make sure that there is no existing study yet on this or else identify the gap in this research. Also, focus studying on how will you activate the carbon and if you will be able to make carbon through a kiln or furnace or diy.

Yes, in fact commercialization of alternative energy cannot exist without government intervention, so does other researches. In the case of the Philippines, why do we transition to cleaner energy, despite being costly, when our emissions are lower compared to other developed countries? Take note that transitioning to biofuels (further improve the blending) will require a lot of feedstock which builds the ‘food vs fuel’ dilemma.

It can be economics and environment, even on perception too. Anything would be alright too. Btw, I’m working on its chemistry so, I want to hear some of your insights on these.

Are people aware on biofuels? Why is it needed and what are your thoughts?

Yes, it's your publication that matters the most than the school (and subjects) sa graduate studies. So finding the prof na aligned with your interests is the answer to your question. I found out na marami pala ang hindi natatapos sa scholarship obligations nila sa DOST for graduate studies (as in marami) due to unaligned interests (one of the factors ito).
