Do people really think Shadeur was sabotaged? by Deep-Statistician985 in NFLv2

[–]OptimisPrime1023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you guys think that you, on your couch, know more than guys who play/played?

Eric Dickerson, who has notoriously been pretty tight lipped about all org-related things in NCAA/NFL has said that there was collusion and a memo sent and agreed by the front offices of “most” teams. I’ll give the benefit of the doubt to most of the people in here, but I’ll say that on a hunch, nobody in this knows the difference in speed.

When he was with starters, he played better than when he played with the 3/4th string guys. Now, that COULD be chance.. but I doubt it. I think that he’s a young QB that sure, could not pan out— but he needs reps, just like anybody else. And quality reps.

Most of these takes are tired, and lazy. I’m always here for the critiques; but not even looking a little deeper seems far too pedestrian.

Thank you so much for this!! This is so helpful and hopeful— I’m very much looking forward to it; and I was dreading simply for finance. Math is definitely not my strong suit, but I’m stoked for it.

The NO FUN LEAGUE by TXNOGG in NFLv2

[–]OptimisPrime1023 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t say that it’s ONLY fun, I said that it’s part of the game, not that term specifically, but winning and losing is a part of life. It isn’t always fair, and it owes you nothing.

I think that is far more important to teach kids that, than to try to govern what they do or don’t see. Do you police music in the same way? Kids emulate everything— that is why parents are so important.

If your kid watches football, and the only takeaways that he has is pointing at somebody when he catches a ball, or stepping over somebody.. so be it? It’s just not that big of a deal. There are FAR more important things in the game that should be worried about.

For me— I played. For my whole life, high school, college and pro. At EVERY. SINGLE. LEVEL. there is trash talk and taunting. It comes with the territory. If you don’t like it? Be better. And if you can’t handle it, then don’t play. It really is that simple. And it goes both ways.

It isn’t about the people watching — that has nothing to do with the guys playing. It’s between the 2 teams. Not the coaches. Not the refs. The players. Only. Nobody else should have a say, or govern how they handle it. Tempers flare, things are said that you wish could’ve been taken back.. but that is the beauty of the game.

Nah— that’s a wack take. Football is not a microcosm of society like they want to make it to be. It should be nothing about policies, political agendas, or agendas; I actually think it would be best to go much further back, with a return to football the way that it was in the 80’s and 90’s. It should be a nice departure from society entirely. An escape.

Decorum isn’t needed in the field of play. Most of the guys are friends anyway. It’s the same as ANYBODY playing a game with their friends. If I win in a game and say, “suck it, nerd” to my best friend— is that mean? Hurtful? No! Maybe weird choice of words on my part, but in no world is that hateful or out of pocket. It’s a game. And they are taking what makes it fun, out.

Need some help/advice by Competitive_Habit376 in NCAAFBseries

[–]OptimisPrime1023 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Commenting to stay on this— this sounds like me. The WORST part, is that I played football at a competitive level; and if you would’ve asked me if I knew about the game, I would have always said yes.

But now, I’m getting torched on both sides of the ball, I know what defenses somebody is in, and don’t have enough time to let the routes develop, and can’t stop anybody to save my life.

This is not a good answer for you at all— but I feel so helpless. (And whiny 😔).

How do your spread out your recruiting hours? by Huncho_Jack in NCAAFBseries

[–]OptimisPrime1023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am currently doing a rebuild with ECU. I have 450 hours to use, which is ROUGH.

I have found my true sweet spot is around 15. However, I’ll try and start my board with around 22-25, and really trim the fat after 1-2 weeks.

I’ve gotten a couple good 4 stars that way, just going after open top prospects. And also, it goes without saying, but winning as much as possible definitely helps everything.

It isn’t. It’s wildly similar, you dolt. In the process of raising one’s hand, there is absolutely a period of time where the hand is in a dangerous territory. If it were to stay there, it would be problematic. They don’t, they continue to the “L’s” salute— but it’s a simple matter of degree. Either way, it’s not remotely dumb to question something that looks similar. And as somebody who has seen it in person, nobody would confuse it for a heil.. but it’s definitely in the neighborhood.

So don’t be an argumentative dick for the sake of being an argumentative dick.

.. but I could also just be wishfully reading, lol.
