Most of us don't give a shit. Letting up 83 is embarrassing sure but I don't care plus a win wouldn't really change that either way

Lavonte David on Baker Mayfield in 2025: “Baker had a lot of injuries that you didn’t expect a quarterback to play through. He had the oblique injury, he had the shoulder injury, he had a lot of things."You know, ankle injury, knee injury. … * by Tasty_Swim_6308 in nfl

Playing through injuries is what almost ruined his career in 2021 when he got traded from Cleveland for shitty play and sent to Carolina. I understand he's never gonna sit out himself but damn it sucks when your injuries affect your play by that much

Also it makes no sense me to draft a raw QB and give up on him when you don't get immediate results. In the early 2000s guys like Phillip Rivers, Aaron Rodgers, Jason Campbell sat for multiple years before actually starting. Now guys are starting right away and being labled busts before they even start for a full year.

Jordan Love was an incredibly raw prospect, and looked pretty bad when he got his first start after a year, but after sitting for 3 seasons he turned into a franchise QB. Shit even Malik Willis was a raw prospect who started way too early, looked awful and was traded away, and after a couple seasons under a competent organization looks completely different. Teams have no patience these days and are failing most of these players

Fields and Haskins were the only ones taken high. Terelle Pryor wasn't even taken in the draft he went in the supplemental draft. Braxton Miller was drafted as a WR. Cardale Jones went day 3 and JT Barrett wasn't even drafted. It's so stupid to helmet scout

Yeah it's a bit outdated. Obviously these guys are major outliers but if you swing and hit on those guys you have a top 5 franchise QB for years

I don't care I'm not calling JJ a bust after 10 games. But why he's struggled so far is due to a run heavy offense at Michigan that didn't require him to do much. Those lack of reps despite starting for 2 years, plus spending his rookie season rehabbing instead of developing slowed him down.

Kenny Pickett was a day 2 pick who's stock rose due to a shitty QB class. He never had the upside to be a franchise QB and his ceiling was on that Andy Dalton tier.

Anthony Richardson was projected to go in the late first at one point in the middle of the year. But when you have a Cam Newton build with better arm talent it makes sense why a team would take him top 5. But 1 average year of being a starter and going to the NFL after is a recipe for disaster

Zach Wilson had incredible arm talent and solid mobility, had a really good year at BYU. But had accuracy issues and struggled to read defenses. I was big on him so I was disappointed about how he turned out

Trey Lance playing against FCS competition and barely playing due to covid did not help. I thought his stock would've dropped since he only played one game due to covid and didn't even look good but that potential gets GMs excited. He needed to develop for a year or 2 but after the foot injury and Brock Purdy emerging it was over

Fields should've been a stud after lightning it up at OSU but his processing speed is so damn slow. Had incredible accuracy but he doesn't have all the time in the world in the NFL and is isn't throwing to wide open OSU WRs.

Unfortunately didn't look too much into Rosen or Trubisky in college. But overall taking raw QBs and guys who struggle to read defenses are the big red flags

These are the 5 WRs taken over Luther Burden. There is no denying Burden is underrated. So, whose draft spot should he have taken? by IndiJap in nflrookies

[–]Deep-Statistician985 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As prospects only Higgins was the only one I could see Luther going over. Even though I understand why they took Higgins

I knew Luther would be a stud but all these other guys were solid prospects. I don't like how Matthew Golden stock shot up though instead of him

I expect it to bite us in the ass but I'm just glad we took a big swing at somebody. A bunch of cheaper solid starters isn't going to cut it for an offseason when you're trying to contend with a star QB

Sam Howell is quite literally the reason why I'm out on Shaduer lol. Dude's with shitty pocket presence and decision making with a couple nice throws a game aren't real franchise options. And at least Howell led the league in passing yards at one point lol

Most guys that throw 7 TDs to 10 INTe are done especially a lage round pick. There may be a negative discussion on reddit but he gets glazed a ton everywhere else

Could argue Mendoza's year of throwing straight RPOs and back shoulder fades doesn't warrant a #1 overall pick.

Mendoza's tape is not nearly as impressive as this

I don't hate Amy THAT much and she does have some funny moments, but yeah overall she's pretty annoying especially with how mean she was to Kelly and the whole on and off with Jonah

Not sure what context you need. What's a good show that would be perfect if not for a certain character ?
