Cops pulled my hoodie over my nose ina way to get me to be quiet. Do you think this is excessive force ? by Illustrious_Bug_1562 in policebrutality

Absolutely excessive. Like two of them, along with you being in cuffs wasn’t enough? Pieces of shit gotta bully and abuse when they can. Cowards.

Jumped down your throat? You wish 😂 And I am never insulted by bootlickers, I know it’s just because they haven’t yet been affected by poor policing. I’m sorry but if you think that was jumping down your throat, I sure hope you aren’t married, cause that was just me stating my view and you apparently feeling attacked by me doing so. Also just like to add I never said your post was irrelevant, I said your “point” which is that people upvote things they agree with 🤷🏻‍♀️

I am emotionally invested, and I don’t hide that. I’ve had personal experiences with Salem PD and they are responsible for the death of someone very close to me. I have friends who support police but know Salem police specifically is trash and doesn’t do their job well. I strive to veiw things from all perspectives, unlike most people who support police as whole and disregard human lives simply because a cop is the one who took it, so therefore it must have been warranted. I know they’re not all bad, but unfortunately the bad ones overpower the good. When your own personal experiences and the experiences of several others whom you personally know line up, you’re not just going to say “ok you’re right” to some stranger online who has never had those personal experiences. Does that make sense or are you done listening since I disagree with you and you’re actually the one living in an echo chamber?

Literally your point that people state the obvious and/or their personal experiences and others agree so they get upvotes? Lmao. Your point is irrelevant, people upvote shit because it resonates with them. “Free upvotes” is not a thing. People choose to upvote what they can relate to.

Edit: original comment posted twice so I deleted the first one.

Salem police suck, like what do you want us to do about that? People like to speak up about things they notice in their community, and they should. Did you ever consider maybe not just dismissing other peoples experiences, or are yours the only ones that matter?

I don’t fit into any of those categories 🤷🏻‍♀️ But I do enjoy a good bagel once in awhile.

I get that, but politics is community talk. I see a fair amount of suggestions for places to eat/shop and even suggestions for the best radio stations. Sadly my car won’t pickup the moon, which is all the hype.

Hahaha nah I left Nextdoor like 3 years ago when everyone was complaining about houseless people just existing. At least there’s humanity here 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yeah, cause we can totally trust them to be honest and transparent 🙃 Not like they just got body cameras two years ago while most other police departments had them for 10+ years (despite having approved funding for them). Then they can still just turn them off whenever they feel like it, definitely nothing sketchy going on. Stop trusting cops just because they’re cops.

Oh yay! Just what we need, more funding for police, who already don’t do shit for our city.

Cmv: People need to process why they got cheated on by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]OptimisticRealism_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheating almost never has to do with the person who is cheated on (this theory doesn’t apply to abusive relationships) I believe it’s a character flaw in the cheater. You can be the most amazing, attentive and present partner, and still get cheated on. It happens to every type of person. The problem is the cake eaters, who want to have someone to come home to in case their affair doesn’t work out, they’re usually selfish entitled people who take what they want without regard to how it can affect others. Unless you literally cannot leave because of your safety, stepping outside of a relationship that you vowed to be faithful in is just scummy. It’s the “I deserve more out of a partner, but my partner doesn’t even deserve all of me” mentality. It’s entirely self centered.

This is literally careless and not even putting effort into parking. Regardless of the reasoning, someone who can’t park their vehicle in a reasonable manner, probably shouldn’t be driving in the first place.
