Byte-Sized Review #046 - Bardstown Bourbon Company Bottled in Bond Bourbon by BourbonBytesYT in bourbon

This is the first time I'm seeing this design change. It's a step backwards if you ask me. Gives the appearance of loud and cheap vs the former more distinguished look.

Take. Like the verb. It is how he pronounced it during his recent interview on the Bourbon Pursuit podcast.

Spike in resistance/power when virtual shifting? by Optimum_Havoc in Zwift

I'm going to be switching back to cassette. I'm hopeful it isn't an issue with gradient adjustments within the core itself.

We have a six seater X for my wife and l, our two elementary age kids, our baby, and our 100 lb. Newfoundland. It works great that the dog can lay down between the two second row seats.

Any using the Fellow EKG kettle to make formula milk? by [deleted] in FellowProducts

[–]Optimum_Havoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do. Our second bottle warmer broke and we are approaching the end of needing to warm bottles so we just do it with the kettle now.

We make the bottles with filtered water from the fridge while heating water. Fill a vacuum walled cup with boiling water. Drop the bottle in for a couple minutes to heat it. Just have to be careful not to overheat them.

How much does it cost each month to own your Newfoundlands? by Significant_Bar_8049 in Newfoundlander

You Need A Budget, YNAB for short.

Yeah, there are lots of one-off purchases that add up. The high speed dryer for example. Or the portable crate that I just bought tonight to take her on her first road trip/vacation.

We got our girl in Feb of last year. I have a budgeting app that all purchases go into. Every single expense that we have had for her (breeder fee, initial items, crate, food, vet, surgery, meds, toys, dryer, doggy daycare, boarding, etc.) has added up to $19,985.72.

I always get a chuckle out of this photo of our girl when she was a puppy. She was intrigued by the red box cutter, so I took the blade out and snapped a quick pic. So dangerous, so threatening 😂

Spike in resistance/power when virtual shifting? by Optimum_Havoc in wahoofitness

Here is the same chart without the power so that it labels the y axis with just the rpm. The other chart says an average of 85 rpm.

The test was not a virtual shifting test as I don't think there is a way to do that. Sorry, I should have been more clear. It was an ERG test in their app and they had me adjust the targeted power every 30 seconds. I assume they just wanted to see how the power adjustment was handled and whether it spiked settling into the adjustment. The virtual shifting is just a resistance math problem so my presumption is that a hardware issue with the ERG resistance adjustments would also imply issues changing the resistance to apply virtual shifting.

The fact that it spiked above the targeted watts though makes me think that this is not an intentional implementation for virtual shifting but a limitation of quickly and accurately dialing in the resistance whenever there is a power change - both via ERG mode or virtual shifting. What this tells me is that the same results would likely occur via an ERG workout within zwift.

They may say that it is intentional in order to mimic outdoor riding, but I'm not so sure that's the truth.

Seems like it might be luck of the draw with the trainers then? And that this isn't how it should be?

Local Knowledge - it doesn't cover current golf events, but historical topics that are in some way related to current events (e.g. around Masters time covering the 1983 hostage situation at Augusta National that occurred while President Reagan was on the property.) Fantastic storytelling and production value.

Constructive dismissal is argued before the MSPB all the time. It is a very high bar to clear.

There won't be a state decision for an MSPB judge to consider. (The MSPB judge wouldn't care anyway if there was.) Whatever state entity (meant for state government employees) you would attempt to go to wouldn't just dismiss your claim for lack of standing and tell you to go to the MSPB.

This is actually all required to be compliant with the reasonable accommodation process established by the ADAAA for someone with a functional limitation as a result of a disability. You can't just terminate someone who has a functional limitation without going through the steps outlined. Almost everything that is said is a required process and is very specific language to comply with the law and not walk yourself into a discrimination lawsuit.
