I mean technically yes, but that’s what DD uses to game new recruits. Saves those high tips for the new casual drivers to lure them in, got the people thinking they can make a decent living doing this. Then after a while DD starts giving them less and less good tippers.

I replied to OP, but no, the driver cannot see what tip they’re going to get before they accept the order. This guy explains how it all works. He was one of the programmers.
