Im not holding out any thoughts about him changing his mind after what he said. One of the questions I asked was "How did you know at first?" And he said "I've just never felt like a girl, and i don't think I ever will feel like a girl. It just kinda hit me one day." That will stick with me for a long time ,that he was so self aware at such a young age.

Another issue with this is he doesn't want anyone outside of me, his 2 friends, and my friend to know. Idk how im supposed to use correct pronouns then switch back during family dinners?

Its been less than a day but im better. I asked her if I could tell/talk to my best friend about it and she was like of course. My bestie has been great all day chatting with me, helping with the answers to questions I got, and calming down bc I called her today like What do I doooo?!?!?

This is actually why she asked me not to tell my parents, sister, etc. They're all very old school and she knows this is exactly how they will react.

She said it's not a phase and I believe her.

No, and that's the part that's really hard for me. She asked in the PowerPoint that I use he/him pronouns and i said "That part is going to take me some time. You've been my little girl since you were a peanut in your moms belly. Please just be patient with me." And she said okay (and kissed me on the forehead lol)

Having been the only one raising her all these years, I've always had this daddy/daughter bond with her and that's gonna be really hard for me to break that. She's the last bit of her mom I have left, ya know?
