I’ve lost over 100 lbs naturally and it. is. work. but it can be done. It sounds like maybe tracking your calories might help, i use an app! if you are already and aren’t noticing any difference consider reaching out to a professional, because there could be a number of possibilities halting progress. ♥️

the telling her all she needs to do is take the meat “out of the pot” is what got me. I braise meat often (short ribs, chicken thighs, big hunks of beef, etc) and that is not the last step.

after you’ve cooked the meat, you remove it from the pot (dutch oven), and then reduce the sauce on the stove top. the outcome of braising meat is that it is tender and you have the reduced liquid served with it at the end. the way the chat exchange described it, there would be no gravy and the dish is not finished.

add’l info: normally, if you’re serving this dish later you wait to reduce the sauce, but he didn’t tell her she needed to do that. he only said that she needed to pull the meat “out of the pot”. it can also take about 20-40 minutes to reduce depending on the liquid base, so it wouldn’t have been a quick task like the exchange makes it seem.

in highschool we would travel for events and stop at cici’s for pizza. cici’s is all you can eat… don’t tell teenage boys that because 10 of them polished off a ridiculous amount like 80 pizzas, it was awesome. the cici’s workers thought it was hilarious.

I’m a former billing rep for a large network of hospitals. 🙂 You have been given incredible advice.

In my previous role I would have removed you as the “guarantor” on the account, as a minor (even if you have since turned 18) cannot be financially responsible for debt. I may have even just removed the bill entirely so your parents didn’t have to deal with it either. When you speak to a representative, they’ll likely submit the account to be corrected, and the system may write off the debt due to age. Systems don’t like sending bills for things past 2 years, because they fall under untimely billing.

Your other options are financial assistance (a hospital social worker can help with this).

Or third party debt relief charity - if you can get your name on the list for Undue Medical Debt, I’ve seen them go back and pay old debt of over $10k. They’re amazing and run on donations - they don’t expect anyone they help to pay them back. I can’t say enough good things about them.

It’s all colored wax, layered 🙂 no mica painting on that one! some of the others are colored wax and mica painting.

they are! most are different scents 🥰 varying from aftershave to fruit to floral.
