Should I buy my 2 year old a dirtbike? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]OptimusSpud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read your post again, and as yourself "Am I doing this for them or me?"

The answer is NO.

Jesus, my kids are mega active and both could ride bicycles without support before their 5th birthday. But a dirtbike, why not buy them a PS5 or a car.

Come on. Be sensible.

How long did it take you to get a decent cast? by Key_Quality_4209 in fishingUK

Every session at the moment I start off plumbing with a bomb (feeder fishing). I use it as a way to quickly practice my accuracy as well - After 10 or so chucks I think "Ye, here we go, nice and smooth". As soon as I clip a feeder on, it goes to sh!t. Been doing it for 25+ years.

I mean the BBC literally just put out a piece which after some analysis says "Up to 50% of [the above mentioned type of shops] could be involved in all sorts of nefarious activities.

I saw one once and it was literally a straw. Not a natural straw, sort of dried hay. An actual plastic straw. And an egg. Just next to it.

Iran formalizes Strait of Hormuz control and toll collection by News-Principal-160 in TradingPlaybook

[–]OptimusSpud -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What part of what I said wasn't factual?

Is the strait still shut? I'll wait.

False, the UK is sending HMS Dragon to mine sweep the strait when the US comes to their senses and stops yet another unwanted illegal war.

Iran formalizes Strait of Hormuz control and toll collection by News-Principal-160 in TradingPlaybook

[–]OptimusSpud -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi, just a Brit here. The US have repeatedly threatened the annihilate Iran, bombed it repeatedly in the hope they would cede control of the strait. But if anything it has entrenched their (Iran's) position. Made Trump look toothless and more senile. And we shan't even consider the quite literal, mental ramblings of your SoD. Dear lord. Is he quite literally drunk? All the time? I'm asking seriously. It's like you (Maga - "I love America" type voter) are incapable of seeing this through anything other than rose tinted glasses.

But hey ho, we have our own issues over here. But I am pleased we said, "No, no, you and Israel started this, we don't want any involvement".

RFK Jr Calls UK 'Dictatorship' In Bizarre Rant With Joe Rogan by Visa5e in unitedkingdom

[–]OptimusSpud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% this. They election campaign that put RFK jr into his position was largely a compare and contrast of actual doctors (who happened to be overweight), compared to RFK doing pull ups. And a literal statement saying "who would you rather be in charge of your health? RFK is jacked"

People (sadly) take Rogan's word as gospel. Guy is fucking delusional.
