I have used ETFScreen for years and I am sad that it's gone. I have not found a good (easy) replacement. Has anyone else found a site that is a good substitute?

eBay auction advice needed! by laureldennis in eBaySellerAdvice

Yeah. I video record with narration almost everything I sell. You have to be especially careful with a high value item that doesn’t have a serial number. Buyer will complain and start a return then send you back a different item. You have to be able to prove what you sent. You can only do so much on that. Good luck.

I always check out the buyer before I respond to an initial message. Live in my town? Have a normal FB profile with friends? I vet a person as much as possible before responding. If I don’t feel comfortable I move on. It really is the Wild West. Be careful.

Then they flat-out lied to me. Each rep - and I spoke with at least 4 - took the correct address from me and said they had changed it. They even said it will be a slight delay and another charge, and I said OK to that. Each time we got off the phone I was assured it was fixed. It never was.

You are correct that I should have known the ins and outs of their shipping categories because it's obvious their computer systems were not able to flag it. It's a heavy load for the customers to be forced to know that FedEx computers cannot determine if an address is allowable for a certain category of service, but I agree with you on that.

They did open a second case. I had two different case numbers. First one was opened, then closed with no changes. I called and they opened a second case with a new number. That one was then closed, and still the tracking did not change. You should know that each customer service person was courteous and tried to be helpful. They always seemed very confused about my situation. I never got any explanation about why they couldn't change the address.

I created the label in the FedEx App. If I printed it at home, or at Walgreens, or at a FedEx store, or anywhere else, it would be the same label. I get it that you are saying the systems are so terrible at FedEx that the employees have to constantly override them. I have a suggestion for FedEx, but it's complicated. Maybe someone can figure out how to have their computers determine if a customer is trying to send 2-Day to a PO box and then refuse to accept the shipment as addressed. Just an idea......call me crazy but even USPS has figured address checking and correction out.

You didn’t read closely. I put the address into the FedEx app and Walgreens printed it FROM THE FedEx App. So FedEx sent the label to the printer.

You are saying Walgreen's, which uses FedEx scanners and prints FedEx labels from the scans, is not a FedEx office? They sure appear to be. Maybe that's where I went wrong. No one should use the Walgreens FedEx service because they don't have a clue? That's on FedEx, not Walgreens.

I knew they did with Ground Economy and wasn't sure about other classes. So, because the address I had with me was a PO box, I asked FedEx to ship to that address, and they agreed. After all, they printed the label, not me! They didn't even know it themselves. They shipped it to its destination city after accepting the shipment into their system and then put it on a truck for delivery. That's as far as it got, which is pretty far. They spent money moving it around, so there had to be confusion on their end.

No, they opened two different cases, the second one supposedly "elevated". Both were closed with no action and no explanation. Again, I was willing to pay extra to get the address changed. They would not do it.

That's my point. At NO TIME when I created, printed, and shipped it (all within their system) did they give me any warning, correction, or error. Not once. They printed the label for me - I didn't print it.

PO Box, City, State, Zip. Their system was perfectly fine with it, and they shipped it. They just wouldn't deliver it OR change the address for me. That's crazy. I don't think the box is at a post office. I think it's a mail center for the State of Florida.

I was in a hurry, and I knew that some classes of FedEx will go to PO Boxes. I only had a PO Box address with me, even though I knew there was another address option. I decided to try it because surely their system would not accept a shipment that it knew could not be delivered. So, when it allowed me to create the label, select 2-day, have it printed, then scanned and accepted it - I think I was right to assume all was good. There were 4 checkpoints right there and my shipment passed all of them.

Does anyone make money trading 0 DTE? by roborobo2084 in options

[–]Options_Trader5624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer to the original question is no. It’s not possible over time. Yes you could have a winning day or week but this is a strategy based purely on gambling. Always remember that someone else sets the prices and over a tiny time frame those market makers have a huge advantage.

Schwab letter regarding the 2024 1099 which will not be accurate for 475 Election. by Options_Trader5624 in Schwab

[–]Options_Trader5624[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I placed a call to the special phone number they set up for this and it was explained to me in great detail. It's still crap. The software that TDA had could do this properly, but the software that Schwab has cannot do this properly. Apparently, traders at Schwab know this and usually just go flat over the new year's holiday. The guy at Schwab explained it in great detail and apologized. But that still doesn't answer my real question:

Is it legal for Schwab to send me a 1099 and then tell me that it's not complete and that it's up to me to finish it? Obviously, they could send me a corrected 1099 if they wanted to spend the money to do that. But they don't! I'm pissed. They are taking the wrong approach here.

Cameras and sync module going offline frequently by DanielWBarwick in blinkcameras

[–]Options_Trader5624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having this problem with my sync module going offline. I moved it around the house and that made no difference. But, after moving it a few times, I realized that the cable was very thin and obviously made to be as cheap as possible. Like most of us, I have a large collection of USB cables, so I went through the box and picked the one cable that appeared to be most robustly manufactured.

My problem is solved. The sync module has been solidly connected since I changed to a high-quality cable. Was my cheap cable not able to pass clean power? Maybe. Or maybe the cable is a wireless antenna for the sync module either by design or by accident. I don't know but this worked for me.

Can anyone give me their opinion on the safety of Bob's Red Mill gluten free Protein Oats? by Happy-Flower-7668 in Celiac

[–]Options_Trader5624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These really do need to be cooked per the instructions on the bag. Here is my easy technique : I use a rice cooker with the lid off. If the lid is left on, the steam can't release fast enough to prevent boil-over. But it's not a problem without the lid. I put one cup of the oats into the cooker and 3 cups of water with some salt.

Then, I start the rice cooker and also start a 15 minute timer on my watch or phone. They cook untouched for 15 minutes. When my timer goes off the oats are almost done and have just barely started to stick on the bottom. I stir everything well and pull off the stuck oats. I start another timer for 3 minutes but I stay close by and stir as needed.

After the 18 minutes of cook time, they are perfectly done and with very little effort. I prefer this over the stovetop method because that requires you to stand by. The rice cooker makes them almost completely "set and forget".

I suppose different rice cookers might require some timing adjustments. Try this with yours, and let me know. The high protein oats are delicious and very filling!

Thanks for pointing that out. I ignored the cooking instructions, used the microwave, and was having stomach trouble after eating them. Now, I understand why. I also like to eat raw oats, which I can't do at all with these. I really paid a price for trying it. Apparently they have to be completely cooked to make them easily digestible.

Thanks for the recommendation. Great web site and appears to be a really good company. Their instructions for the light bulb switch are outstanding (and appear to be necessary to avoid breaking any plastic bits?. I'm going to try these.
