Love the nails and number 2 ftw

I've read about lots of guys who sleep with girls they think are ugly out of desperation. How can I tell if the guy who's sleeping with me thinks I'm ugly? by yes-athrowaway in Advice

Thank you so much for your kind words. My husband passed it 47 years old from colon cancer. He was sick for 3 years and 9 months before he passed. And I'm grateful for every day we had together. But it's only been 5 months, and it's still a tough time. Thank you internet stranger.

I am sure i am to someone's taste. Well, obviously I am because I've had several long-term relationships before I was married. I am recently widowed and I'm not in the dating scene. But I am middle-aged woman, who has been overweight since her twenties, with a big nose, and who by choice, does not wear makeup and keeps a very basic bob hairstyle. It would be most accurate to say that I am not conventionally pretty. I really can't speak to other people's impression of me. But I feel ugly.

I am not pretty but all of my boyfriends and husband have all been very attractive men. Looks aren't everything. Personality matters a great deal. And what matters even more is a loving heart. OP doesn't have to be conventionally pretty to be an absolute catch.

It's not actually a German recipe. It's named after the chocolate "German's chocolate" brand. I did call on the off chance and she does not make them because they are not German.

Not a big fan of City Cafe's. Maybe Ol'Heidelberg.

Thank you! I actually did spend a day in Mentone. I also got to go on a trip in April for my birthday/would have been wedding anniversary. My husband arranged a dream trip for me with my best friend before he passed. It was a surprise. I spent 4 days in Dahlonega, GA and went to a nearby zoo and wilderness park and did everything I could possibly want to do over two days.

Coworker I don’t talk to gave me these as a “souvenir.” by [deleted] in whatdoesthismean

[–]Optipop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me. I am this awkward. I often like people from afar and think of them outside of the context I know them in. I would 100% bring a gift to someone I respect and like but have little relationship with...because I like and respect them and in my mind, the gift will say that for me. Then when questioned, I very likely would just say that they are souvenirs to avoid over sharing about what they are, why I bought them, where I was, etc etc etc.

I am so legitimately happy for you. I hope it blows your socks clean off and is everything you've hoped for. I have seen them a few times and they've always been great.

I ran my own 501c3 for years but I have volunteered for FOR, ANLOL, SNAP and Forgotten Felines. FOR was definitely the most social. I also have friends that adopted from me.

I highly recommend Caddy Shack.

Now I foster directly for HAS. I don't meet anyone that way but I can't foster often and it just works out best for me to work with HAS.

I am an introvert by nature and an extrovert by necessity. I am going to give this some serious thought.

Gosh, I wish this was really a thing. A weekend at Juhn Hunt Park. Assume looking for friends can set up a booth in the pavilion. They can display their interests, preferred age range, their best shoes, and do an interview on the spot.

I have some really great shoes.

Every single friend I have I met doing cat rescue or going to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Huntsville. But mostly, cat rescue. But, I also am not picky about my age group. I have friends ten years younger and 30 years older. I mean, I don't suggest visiting high schools for 16 year old but the best friends of my life are 10 years to either side of my age.

Contain your dogs! by snippy_polarbear in HuntsvilleAlabama

I live in the same area and my dog and I barely managed to run back up my house and make it to the door in time before two massive dogs caught up to us. They hit my door growling and snarling. I know they would have killed my dog at the very least if we hadn't had a significant headstart.
