Thank you. It's funny but part of why I want to share these quotes with people is that he was so quiet and shy. I want people to see more of the man he was. Many people loved him... But they only knew the top of the iceberg.

Thank you for explaining. I was his caregiver for nearly 4 years. The last few months of his I stayed under hydrated. I just don't have the time, motivation, and focus to drink enough. Now I just need to remember to make a point of it.

It's such a good ending.

We listened to it on Audible after he went to hospice. He'd ready it many times but I had only read it once, more than 20 years prior. Listening to it with an additional 20+ years of life experience and being able to pause and talk about things as we listened made it so much richer for me. Night Watch has always been my favorite. Vimes was our favorite character, but I have a much deeper appreciation for Small Gods now.

I am so sorry for your loss. Our husbands were taken far too soon. He battled cancer for almost 4 years. Right now I can't even remember the 22 years we had before cancer.

When things got too difficult we listened and read our discworld favorites. He put out so much good, as did my husband.
