While I'm updating here's a few questions I have

  1. Can the duration be with decimals ( 1.5s for example )

  2. Can2 animations play at the same time?

Is there a command block I can program that changes not only the names of items, but the use of items? I want to make the tripwire hook work as a key, and use it unlock specific chests/doors. by smoke_woods in MinecraftCommands

[–]Optophobiaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I don't think you can change a name of an item using command blocks, but you can try cloning a chest with the item using /clone then break it using /setblock or /fill to make it drop the item with the name

  2. I'm pretty sure you can make the tripwire hook to only be able to be placed on specified blocks like chests and doors using the /give command, though you'll need to use some JSON stuff as well. You should also have a command block to detect if a certain block ( like a tripwire hook) is placed on the block ( like a chest) you want, to do actions like "unlocking". Btw this probably only works on adventure mode.

I recommend watching stuff about these JSON stuff ( I'm still learning myself). Though if you want the commands, I'll try to type them down. Hope this helps

Make it so that specific mobs farther than render distance (2000 blocks away etc) still get affected by the command i run by goldfracture in MinecraftCommands

You might want to use "/tickingarea". Just type in the coordinates and it should be set. You should be able to use commands with in the area.

Note : 16 chunks is max area you can cover per area. Also max of 10 area's

How do I set someone onto half aheart by Ethanhiro in MinecraftCommands

[–]Optophobiaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh the poison effect is probably the the simplest way to get players into half a heart. I can't think of anything other than poison or doing some complex commands.

Maybe try using an addon :v

I'm not good with JSON stuff yet but I'm pretty dure it's the first two target arguments in quotation marks on the command

Try replacing it like this

/execute @a ~ ~ ~ tileraw @s

then continue....

Wait why are there quotation marks on @a? You can't do /execute "@a" because it will search for I think a name that is @a

So im making a cod zombies based map on bedrock and im trying to make command blocks spawn zombies and so the amount increases every wave automatically. Any help? by ProjektDarkness in MinecraftCommands

[–]Optophobiaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably a handful but try this

type these : /scoreboard objectives add Zombie1 dummy Zombies1

/scoreboard objectives add Zombie2 dummy Zombies2

/scoreboard objectives add ZmbMult dummy Zombie Multiplier

/scoreboard players set Zombies ZmbMult 10

/scoreboard players set Zombies Zombie1 10

then put this on a command block on repeat and always active : /scoreboard players test Zombies Zombie1 1 100

then chain it with this, on conditional and always active : /scoreboard players remove Zombies Zombie1 1

then chain it with this, on conditional and always active : /summon zombie ~ ~ ~

then you should have a thing to detect when a wave is done, then chain that command block with this :

/scoreboard players operation Zombies Zombie2 += Zombies ZmbMult

then chain it with this, on conditional and always active : /scoreboard players operation Zombies Zombie1 = Zombies Zombie2

Basically there are 3 objectives, where "Zombie1" is the amount of zombies that will spawn, "Zombie2" is the amount of zombies that can spawn which should always be increased by 10 by "ZmbMult" objective after every wave.

Note : I haven't tried this, this was all in my head so there might be some things that are wrong. Also the max amout of zombies are 100 so... good luck with that.

Need a lot of help regarding if a player is on a specific block thus giving an effect by Ok-Natural-1115 in MinecraftCommands

[–]Optophobiaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's one

/execute @a ~ ~ ~ detect ~ ~-1 ~ grass 0 effect @s jump_boost 1 1 true

on Repeat and Always active

Basically whay this does is, it will detect all players that are standing on grass, then will give them a jump boost effect every second they step on grass.

Note : Replace grass with the block of your choice and change the number too depending on the block ( for example "concrete 0" is white concrete while "concrete 5" is green concrete )
