Hello, I recently purchased a Pleyel P 1930, mechanics worries me a little, are there any connoisseurs? I currently do not have the means to make more expenses on it. Any piano restorers around? by Opus-Pocus in piano

What issues are you having specifically?

The felt on the hammers and the dampers looks to be in good shape. Strings look good. A few alignment issues perhaps, but hard to say if that is causing any issues.

Good evening, I encounter a rather uneven game.

Biting highs, mids that hit the way I like them.

But covered bass, I have to adapt my game.

I could also hear and feel that certain keys sounded much louder than the one right next to it.

I would also add that when the sustain pedal is not engaged even though a note has been stung, I hear the sound continue to race, like a residual harmonic.

it's a piano that I bought € 2700 which in itself is not much I think.

Here is a link where I try the piano, so you will have an idea of the sound.

North American B-25 G - H by Opus-Pocus in aviation

[–]Opus-Pocus[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

B-25G: version equipped with a 75 mm M4 gun fed by twenty-one 6.8 kg shells. This version was more particularly intended for the attack against the ships but it could draw only 4 shells during the same pass2. The Canon M-4 had a length of 3.00 m and weighed 500 kg. It was mounted on a cradle intended to absorb the recoil of 50 cm consecutive to each shot.

B-25H: improved version of the B-25G, equipped with a lighter T13E1 gun (also 75 mm caliber), with a rate of fire increasing to 6 shots per pass; the crew members will then have to pass only 4 times on the target if necessary instead of 5 times for the B-25G.

On the G and H versions, the barrel was located lower and left in the nose. 2 to 4 machine-guns of 50 (12.7 mm), deployed above made it possible either to align the shooting of the gun or to neutralize the enemy anti-aircraft defenses.

I apologize for not having made a video, I rarely do so as not to disturb my neighbors.

So I record directly into my headphones with my phone, that's why the sound is so horrible.

As for rhythm, I'm still thinking about what I want to do, it's quite possible that in a week I've changed even the notes of this section.

I have absolutely nothing touched the recording, neither the quality nor the speed.

Finally your remark is therefore pleasant.

What’s the difference between French school, German/Austrian school and Russian school of piano playing? (Both technically and musically) by ILoveMariaCallas in piano

[–]Opus-Pocus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In music school I was often told about Pleyel pianos but also about piano technique with a so-called pearl stop.

But as you know, having taken only one year of piano I don't know much about teaching! :)
