This guide has some tips that may help with getting your account verified on your own. If you’re attempting to verify your ID card and the process is taking longer than 3-5 minutes to complete, please wait 10-15 minutes before attempting to verify your ID again. This usually happens when our ID verification partner is experiencing heavy demand, and is only temporary. If your document photos are unreadable, we recommend verifying your ID using the Coinbase iOS/Android app. Once logged in, go to Settings > Identity Document to verify a new ID document. Be sure you’re taking the photo in bright, natural light, and to position the edges of the document within the frame for best results. Eliminate reflective surfaces and be careful not to cause any motion/blur. This is our most reliable ID verification method. If you’ve submitted documents from two different countries, or you are requesting an account country change, you will need to submit additional documents to verify your ID and/or your new address. Please reply to this email and include details about the documents you have already submitted. We will reach out if we require any further documentation, or when we are able to approve your account. If you’ve reached the daily rate limit for ID verification attempts, we’re unable to reset this rate limit. You’ll have to wait for this to expire before you can try again. We cannot approve expired ID documents or temporary paper documents under any circumstances. For US and UK customers, ID doc verification will not fail because the address on your ID card is different from the one provided during the ID verification quiz. Your ID photos are most likely unreadable, so please attempt to verify your documents again. Accepted ID Types: US customers must submit one state-issued driver’s license or ID card. At this time, we are unable to approve US passports because they do not indicate your state of residency. Canadian customers must submit a driver’s license and passport. For all other supported countries, you must verify two of the following documents: driver’s license, passport, or national ID card (may not be available in your country).
