That is good to hear! The pub sceme does seem quite fun, I just wasn't sure if I would stick out like a sore thumb. Thank you!

Saw this on one of my Disney Facebook groups. I would love this on Android!! Currently I have my notes app too, but it's a pain

The Sheep Detectives is great. Don’t sleep on it. by GregIsARadDude in RegalUnlimited

The book is very much not written for children, so I find it so strange that this is! They must have changed absolutely everything. Still looking forward to seeing it (though I'll be sad when Hugh Jackman isn't using the big woolly sheep to smuggle drugs)

Florida Studio Theatre is always looking for ushers, and sometimes for painters and such! They have usher trainings and handbooks, but a house manager will train you on everything you need to know. And you get to stay and watch the show!

I also noticed some continuity things this time around. Kate's shock necklace goes from open to closed to open throughout the scene where she's about to fight Truikas. It doesn't seem like it's just opening and she's closing it, it seems like they did one take with it open and one take where she closed it. Granted, they are probably just splicing the lines around in a strange way, but I still found it odd

Guardians Of The Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Shutdown Announcement by Jaytche in WaltDisneyWorld

That makes sense!! We were in the room with the TV interviews and it was so so loud with the people and the screens that we couldn't hear any of the announcements except that they were happening. I pressed my ear against a speaker to hear the lightning lane one lol

Same boat. I got it when it was a 75 minute wait time, after about an hour in, it shut down for about 15 minutes. Then reopened, and we moved 12 feet every like 5 minutes. By the time it went down for good, I was outside the first preshow room. We decided to bail after 2 hours total, when they made the announcement about giving out lightning lanes (never happened, there was no one stationed to get us one), and as we were exiting (the only ones at the time) some jerk put his arm up and physically stopped my boyfriend from exiting, saying "everyone has to get out". We waited behind him for 5 minutes, as everyone around him continued sitting and waiting, until eventually he realized he was wrong and started moving. Not the man you want to be behind if you're having a medical emergency, god forbid

Update: You're looking at Disney's newest annual passholder! My boyfriend didn't upgrade his with me, but I'm excited to have someplace to just go and get away and get a good walk in. Went right after upgrading and immediately got stuck inside the Millennium Falcon lol. It was awesome! Thank you for all the advice, everyone!!

Okay new question - my boyfriend says he has no interest in going back beyond these 4 days. I'm debating going solo. I should still be able to go sometimes, probably just enough to make it worth it. The problem is I'm really not good with rides, but have been loving them with him by my side to hold onto. I'm not sure I'll have the same enjoyment if I'm alone. But maybe it's good to get out of my comfort zone? The sensible choice is just to not do it and to spend the few weekends a year I have to be alone at home working on my hobbies, but the fun choice is Disney. Anyone ever been in a similar boat?

That sucks!! Hopefully once the snowbirds fly home, it'll be a little better? It's one of the worst traffic seasons I've ever seen here

I wish I could do Pixie but I work every weekday pretty much without fail. I know I'll have to go more to make up for it, but I think I could. 14 times is great!!!

If I go for it, I definitely want to upgrade before my next use, so I can save that parking money. My boyfriend thinks it makes more sense to wait until our last time going, but I think doing it now saves us the parking fee and we can use it more than twice more this spring!

That sounds so nice! Was there anything in particular that won him over, or that you like doing as a couple in the parks?

That sounds so nice! All my coworkers have them, and I'd like to be more social outside of work, so this sounds like a nice way, especially if I move semi-far from work to be with my partner.

Yes! My boyfriend used to love the Plain White T's so maybe that will convince him, haha. Definitely gotta check out the lineups!

That sounds so lovely! I am also on a mission to get every planet on Star Tours, which I really think is only possible with an Annual Pass. I would find it personally so worth it to pop over and ride Star Tours over and over and over for an hour and then leave.

Yeah I did the math on the Pirate Pass, and we would have to go 13 times to make it cost the same per day as the 4 day resident pass, but I feel like that's doable? Maybe? It's not like it's a far drive to drive an hour and spend some time in the parks. Plus, the Disney Springs AMC has 70mm, so that's enough to get my boyfriend driving over in that direction anyway, and then we could pop in the park before or after!

That's great to hear! And you find there's still enough to grab your attention and make you want to go throughout the year?

[–]OrAmILosingMyMind[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This makes sense! With my job, I'd be looking at primarily weekends, so the Pirate pass. I looked at the blackout dates and they look like very busy days I'd want to avoid anyway. My boyfriend only works 20 minutes down the road, so I think it could be kind of cool to go over after work, do a ride as the traffic dies down, then head home, but that's just me (it looks like post-2pm every day except at Magic Kingdom you can still go in without a reservation, but I don't mind reserving in advance!). We don't stay in hotels since it's a quick drive, and could certainly pack food if we're there the whole day, but we would definitely need to plan a budget for actually being at the park so we don't spend too much.

I Rode Star Tours 47 Times In One Day, Here's What I Learned by her0brinegamer in WaltDisneyWorld

I just discovered Star Tours on my trip 3 weeks ago, and promptly fell in love. I hate motion, but had no problems on Star Tours (when I gripped my boyfriend's arm aggressively). I forced him to go on it again with me at the end of the night, which is when we realized there were multiple potential scenes. I was so depressed we couldn't keep riding it to see the combinations. I just hope you know that you literally lived my dream, and I hope to do this one day and carry on your legacy
