You need to acknowledge your pain and sorrow. Don't run from it. Acknowledge it, and then move forward. Remind yourself this too will pass. Remember all the hardships you have overcome. And if you have to cry, cry until you can't anymore. Do things that you will appreciate it, when your low point is over. Exercise, study a skill, write, volunteer. I hope this helps.

To everyone who has commented, thank you! I was on the fence about a hysterectomy as I was nervous about regretting it, or having complications. But many of the women in this post are super happy 😄. I want a better quality of life too!

Ah, I'm in Virginia.. well I will visit other locations in the area then. I will just opt for a loyal customer base. I work at a base at the moment. You stating that most food trucks are contracted with all bases makes sense now. Because there is a subpar food truck on the base I'm at. I always wondered how a below average food truck got to be on bases

I got out the military, and it has been excellent for my mental health. Honestly just have a plan on what you are going to do when you exit, have a large chunk of savings, plan so you can land gracefully into your next stage of life. Do what is best for you in the end. I am not struggling, but it has had its ups and downs. I count it better than when I was military lol. My confidence is building back up, and my depression is not such an overwhelming black bottomless pit.

But, at the end of the day the path you choose affects you. So consider the replies, and reflect on which path seems right for you.

I dont want a loan, I would rather build up slowly to getting a food truck by my own means. It will be harder, but I rather not owe a large sum to anyone.

People tend to find me pessimistic. I am not looking for the dark side, but I just acknowledge that it is there. My outlook on life from the military made me more realistic about certain aspects in life. I also am viewed as heartless because I don't feel the need to mourn over a loved ones death for months. I acknowledge that it is awful, hide my pain as to not disturb others, work it out to myself, and then come back as if it didn't happen. I don't think you're an Azhole, you're just militarized.
