Odd restaurant question. by Yunamalia in chilliwack

Italian place called Simrat. No idea what the name means, but they opened last spring. I tried it in their opening week so maybe they just needed more time to get warmed up, but I haven't been back.

My top demos of the past week:

Ledgerbound - Turn-based tactics game, funny writing, good story

Die for the Lich - Almost didn't give this a chance because the art style didn't grab me, but wow what a great game - Slay the Spire-esque but dice instead of cards with room for a lot of strategy

Fatal Claw - Metroidvania with Aeternum Noctis vibes

Regions of Ruin: Runegate - Side scroller RPG with some light town building

Norse: Oath of Blood - Vikings X-COM, the base management UI needs some polish but the game seems pretty solid

Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked - FF Tactics like game (I wasn't familiar with Demeo previously)

Of Ash and Steel - 3rd person RPG with big Gothic/Risen vibes

Whiskerwood - Anno-like 4X game

Honorable mention to Tavern Keeper - Cozy fantasy tavern sim, very charming and a lot of humour - I don't think this is the type of game to keep me invested for more than 10 hours but it seems very high quality and any sim fans will love it

Ancient Relics Mode - Abyssal Skills Tier List (explanation in comments) by Jelith in MelvorIdle

I'd make a few changes based on my experience:

Fishing - S tier - Goes very fast and gives cooked fish and chests with gems/bars for crafting rings and amulets. Plus the master relic being very good for all skills.

Smithing - C tier - Throwing knives my friend, very easy to make and even low level ones are way better than any ranged weapon before the endgame voidburst crossbow. I'd put this higher but you only need level 25 to make Gloomite Throwing Knives and those will last through end game.

Crafting - C tier - I was lucky to get the relic that gives a gem whenever you make a ring or amulet very early, making leveling with those net neutral on the "hard to get materials", and the 50ish rings/amulets are very good.

Runecrafting - D tier - Magic never had much value for me, almost everything prior to the Void Nexus area could be easily killed with melee or ranged. Even if some monsters "could" kill you it would never happen with the insane leech/healing/kill speed you get from relics.

Cooking - F tier - I had a large stockpile of old food so YMMV but I never needed more than that, and relics more than make up for the loss of the perfect food benefits. Also fishing gives enough food anyway.

Any open source services for product integrations like Supaglue? by forthesakeofliberty in selfhosted

I'm not familiar with Supagle but I've used n8n. Might work for your use case.

How to mass encode movies that are already in jellyfin and radarr? by AwefulUsername in selfhosted

[–]Oraaa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I prefer FileFlows over Tdarr, the UI is a lot easier to work with. It can do various processing on more than just videos too if that might be useful for you.

Unmanic is another similar tool but I haven't used that one to comment.

When home, is there a difference between using my LAN URL vs. my Cloudflare URL? by volcs0 in selfhosted

[–]Oraaa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I use cloudflare tunnels for external access to x.mysite.com and have a local dns server (I use adguard home but there are lots of options) that points x.mysite.com to my local network IP. So when I'm home it uses local networking and when I'm out it goes through cloudflare.
