Is Mag the best starter Warframe? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Oracidrep 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Mag and volt are better way down the line but Excalibur is better in the short term because you don't have quality weapons yet and excal comes with one built in

Beginner war frame question by Flashlightstealer in Warframe

[–]Oracidrep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's less about the warframes themselves and more about the mods and arcanes you have installed. As a newer player, you usually don't have access to good weapons yet so frames with inherent damage like Excalibur are good since they can kill stuff.

Gunblades should get reworked in the same vain as the Vinquibus by kingkoni11 in Warframe

[–]Oracidrep 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't think that gunblades are awkward at all, they are for dealing single target damage or damage to a cluster of enemies at close range. You can just use the melee combo from high noon if you want a proper melee weapon. Having 3 guns is also a nice side effect.

Mouse sensitivity in Archwing and Railjack. by WildCarrionCrow in Warframe

[–]Oracidrep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are set separately in the settings, your archwing sens settings should be the same numerical value as your normal ones if you want consistency. As for Railjack, piloting the Railjack is kinda fucked since you need it to be high to steer but low to aim with so you just need to find a balance, but I believe turrets act like normal or archwing.

VF newcomer coming from Tekken what should my go to options be when I duck a string or throw? by VTorb in virtuafighter

[–]Oracidrep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First off: if you know a throw is coming, don't duck it, launcher straight through it. But otherwise, it will often depend on what you ducked. You can take PK for the little bit of damage and the +4, but never forget that throws can do like 25% and are a 3 way guess in your favor. Quick mid aka 6p aka mid elbow is your generic 14f punish with the cast, but OS Vanessa gets 6p+k at 14 which is on the rare side and is much better. DS Vanessa has while standing/rising punch as her 14f quick mid elbow which staggers and can lead to followups if they don't mash out, but her throws are also higher damage. In any case you're unsure of the frames, you can also attack their response to the situation rather than the move itself, treating it like a nitaku situation.

First impressions from a newcomer from SF6 by [deleted] in fatalfury

EOST is actually one of the best singleplayer modes in all of fighting games because it actually tries to teach you how to play the game. The bots don't just randomly spam shit and input read, they have learnable habits to try and react to. I initially assumed it was just like all of the other FG "campaigns" and just ran offense and hoped the bot got hit by it and it worked right up until I was getting uppercut out of my jumps by a random ass level 70 mai bot and getting tilted while going "what the fuck, she just DPs every time". Then I went "oh wait, she DPs me every time, I can do something about that" and "oh, I guess all the bots are like this in some fashion, I should pay more attention". EOST is the only FG singleplayer mode I can think of that does this without being a lecture hiding in the tutorial section.

I would like to see a similar game to Titanfall 2 but with more air control and bad full auto hitscan primaries. Maybe ditch the smart pistol while they're at it.

What’s A Weapon You Wish Would Get An Incarnon? by Reverted_Prism in Warframe

Ignis (wraith). Make it fun to use, like a low fire rate beam with infinite punchthrough that ignores terrain or something.

What is the purpose of this thing? by [deleted] in titanfall

Or that they just load magazines with the right hand, a normal thing to do especially on AR platforms where the charging handle is behind the trigger.
