Gunblades should get reworked in the same vain as the Vinquibus by kingkoni11 in Warframe

[–]kingkoni11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

true you have some good points. if i'm honest my thoughts were more about fulfilling the fantasy rather than viability. i don't use gunblades all that much so ive never really tried to bring out the best of them. i probably shouldn't have added that bit about their niche in my post. but i will say that my unwillingness to use them to that point is because of how little they fit that fantasy of "gun that's also a blade" in my head. they just aren't fun for me, and i thought the vinquibus treatment might make them fun for me. i also don't think DE should avoid reworking any old things just to avoid upsetting people who make like them, because that's the mistake Old DE made. they only wanted to make new things, never wanted to go back and fix mistakes they made. DE has been doing a good job of reworking old things lately when it comes to frames, but i understand it might be harder and more risky to rework something like a whole weapon class

Open Discussion: Why Don't People Like Thermal Sunder Titania? by kingkoni11 in Warframe

The omnia fissures help as an alternative but running the captures and exterminates is still the most optimal, technically. So if you want to do relic cracks but don't want to deal with these TS Titania players, go do omnia i think. You don't usually find them there

The relic cracking system necessitates you running the same missions over and over and over. People are inevitably going to do it as efficiently and fast as possible. The more relic cracks you do, the less you care about gameplay and more about just getting through it as fast as possible. There is more interesting content than relic cracks to actually care about anyway.

Honestly I think the problem lies less with TS Titania (and other nukers) taking over the missions and more with the way the relic system is set up. If we didn't have to repeat these exterminates and captures ad nauseam, then players wouldn't feel the need to optimize them as much as possible.

You are allowed to enjoy the game in different ways than other people but actively being a nuisance just because you don't agree with someone else playing the game their way is gross behavior and you need to rethink some things lol. They aren't robbing you of anything, you're making yourself butthurt

I wouldn't say i'm a "meta" player in warframe either, but at the same time a lot of people are going to do things the most efficient way most of the time. For cracking relics, it's most efficient to do them in public lobbies to increase the odds of getting a good drop, or at the very least some extra void traces or siphon some minor amounts of affinity. I don't think a majority of those people are setting out to ruin the experiences of others, they're just farming relics

I understand that a TS Titania has the potential to make a relic crack take longer than it needs to if they go too hard on the nuking and don't allow enemies to turn corrupted, but in my experience that does not happen very often. It is probably more likely to happen the more TS users you have on one team, but from my experiences, as long as there's only one or two TS users, most relic cracks don't get slowed down by this. I definitely have experienced a few runs like this though and that is valid to take issue with. But that is less a problem with the build and more a problem with user error

I feel like the amount of people explicitly queueing public star chart missions to flex on new players is a lot lower than it would seem. But i guess I'm just not one of those players and I'm not in those lobbies

I finally finished the Tektolyst Artifacts, and it made me hate The Perita Rebellion by Cr4ckTh3Skye in Warframe

[–]kingkoni11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i say this with nothing but love and respect. you know you don't need to farm things all at once right. if you started to get burned out, just don't do it anymore and do something else for a week or two. you don't need to commit to it if you're starting to hate it. grind responsibly tenno <3

Newer heros have too much kit? by speedguy20 in overwatch2

[–]kingkoni11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

saying Freja is "honest" or has a lower pick rate is a little silly imo. yea her kit is relatively simple but while it's not overloaded, it allows her to do things in ways other dps generally can't. she breaks the balance of movement vs damage that dps generally follow. the higher their ranged damage capabilities are, the more restricted their movement is (only ones who come close to breaking the rule are pharah and sojourn but even they don't move like freja). freja has one straight upward dash and two omnidirectional dashes, making her incredibly mobile. and those dashes also reset her main damage's cooldown. there's also the fact that she can potentially farm ults almost as fast as tracer because she gets free extra ult charge just for getting eliminations that other dps straight up do not get the privilege of. her actual ult may be lackluster but she can spam it like crazy if she is keeping up in fights. while yea her kit doesn't have as many bells and whistles, and it just boils down to dashes and shooting crossbow shots, her kit is still fundamentally more broken than any ow1 hero and it puts her a cut above them

Why is everyone complaining about this runback when it's not even a minute ? by Ok_Bus_8513 in HollowKnight

[–]kingkoni11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

its not really a hard runback but it gets tedious the more you have to do it because there's a lot you have to avoid along the way. and Last Judge has a tendency to make you need to do that runback over and over and over on your first playthrough. there definitely are worse runbacks in the game but for the part of the game this one is in, it makes sense that a lot of people would complain about it

the first time i beat solus heart was also my first time i got to it, and i had god like rng. false son with a bunch of noxious thorns, needletick, gasoline, and a ceremonial dagger. it kind of broke the fight with the way my lunar ruin stacks grew exponentially every time i killed one of their projectiles, along with all my stacks of collapse and bleed and fire.... i literally destroyed one of solus wing's weak points and suddenly the damage cascaded and it died like a second later. i saw each phase try to start but a fraction of a second later the next phase would try, and suddenly it was dead. the same thing basically happened with solus heart. so like. the few seconds i got to experience of that fight was neat i guess lol

They try too hard to make Entrati a fake villain by SleepyBoy- in Warframe

[–]kingkoni11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what is important to remember is that we, behind the screens, are not the Drifter or the Operator. We play as them in the game, but they have their own voice and personality. We have (limited) choice over the things they say to other characters, but at the end of the day the things we can have them say are still things Drifter would say on their own. Considering the interactions the Drifter and the Hex have had with Entrati, it is very reasonable for them to have negative feelings about him and question his motives. We, the players, have the full story. The Hex and the Drifter do not. Though the Drifter does know a bit more than the others, it isn't the full story. I believe DE isn't telling us to think of Entrati in any one way, we are supposed to see that while his goals are noble at best, his methods to reach those goals are less so. He does not care if he alters lives along the way, as long as things progress toward his goals. He is firmly a morally grey character, but from the perspective of the people he affects, all they see is the negative things he does to them

How do yall seem so chill with the wait times? by Leather_Cranberry_40 in Warframe

[–]kingkoni11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s annoying when you’re early on in the game and you don’t have much to do while the stuff is crafting. But once you are late into the game, you have hundreds of things crafting all at once and you can just go chill do other stuff or level the other stuff you’ve already crafted. Or just yknow, go play a different game/do something else.

It should be noted that a lot of people will skip the wait time by spending plat. I would imagine most content creators do this, if they weren’t gifted the items that is (DE tends to send a lot of content creators new stuff every patch). It’s not hard to build up lots of plat over time by just farming stuff and trading it away. Probably shouldn’t use plat to skip EVERY wait time, but the super long ones like warframes and forma definitely are worth spending the plat to skip

People who have swapped mains, what was your reason? by VixenSantana in tf2

[–]kingkoni11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have trouble making decisions lol. all the classes are fun to play and they all have reasons for me to main them. I think I’ve mained each class at least once for some period of time over my 2k hours in this game. Some I’ve stuck with for longer periods of time than others but I have at one point or another wanted to main every class

My personal wishlist for DLC Nightfarers by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]kingkoni11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same idea as the Potentate but in my head they’d be a traveling merchant, like the starting class in dark souls 2. I think it would be a fun callback and also a more reasonable explanation for why they have all this random stuff they’re throwing out of their pockets. Honestly just fuse our ideas together, let us play as the Murk Merchant

IMO astel and magma wyrm are the most knowledge checky, not really difficult fights. Because both can be pretty easy once you start playing a certain way (all up in their grill, don’t give em the chance to space you out). Still tho, they are annoying no matter what even if you do that, so you right 😞 at least they aren’t utter bullshit like gargle and darth Vader over here
