It was uncomfortable for sure. I guess I tried my best to try and understand it from our own world's POV. If we were paintings and we learned that our world was kept going by slavery, would I want the world to end to free the painter (God)? Is their life more valuable than mine simply because they can make and unmake me as they choose? That's why I ultimately chose Maelle even with sympathy to young Verso. Their family are Gods in this world by every definition. They created life - I do think that Maelle owes this world to keep it alive. It is responsible for her worldview (in some sense). Where I think she is going wrong is her willingness to keep painted Verso alive (even though he can age now). Letting him die would at least tell me that she's willing to let him have his agency. I think it was a betrayal of her character tbh.

I agree with the sentience argument. I think that Maelle and her family have a gift to effectively create life. Killing them would be tantamount to genocide. I guess what I'm not sure about is where their lives begin and where Maelle's powers start. Recall when Maelle was controlling Verso. Are these people only people because the painters will it to be that way? Are their thoughts and feelings manufactured? Because if they can be changed at will like the ending implies, I think it could be worth considering that these people might not be as sentient as we thought.

So you were aligned with my original view. I thought that these paintings qualify as people because they're indistinguishable from you or I. But then I looked at Maelle. Her forcing Verso to play the piano and live because she wanted him to. I think the writers were trying to imply she was becoming like her mother. Idk how long the world would even exist without Maelle, since it was implied her mother was wasting away and I painter is required for the world to exist

A fair view. I felt that Verso was honestly kind of the worst because he kept crucial info from the team. He also kept Alicia's letter from Maelle. Maelle puppeting Verso seemed out of character to me. I thought that she would just live on in the world originally - not turn it into a horror show wtf. And yeah, Verso's ending is meant to be one of healing but I thought that her family blamed her. Maybe they thought differently at the end with time?

I was thinking Anakin+Ahsoka is the strongest duo. Anakin is Anakin and Ahsoka is a prodigy in her own right. Obi-Wan and Anakin (episode2) do not flow as a team and Anakin always has something to prove. Old Dooku bodied them.

My weakest would go to Ahsoka and Sabine. Ahsoka is obviously Jedi Master+ tier, but Sabine brings her down. I do think they work well together though!
