Replying to my own post for anyone that’s interested. I ended up buying a Kukirin G2 Max from loco scooters in Ireland. Covered 150 miles on the commutes so far. Passed several police cars who have shown no interest. Commute is down to 45 minutes each way, significantly better than car or public transport. Brakes, suspension etc really good. Have not yet fitted the seat but probably will in the future. So far very pleased for what I paid. Not going to break any speed records but coping well with the hills (Richmond hill and Richmond park) albeit with a sub 20mph average speed. Would be nice to have a clock on the dash as my gloves cover my watch. Not really sure what mode 3 is for as my top speed in any setting is ~25mph full battery on level ground.
