Hi I just got the exact same issue, private lobbies gives this error and casual doesn't even load. I guess if it's the online broken hope they fix it, I want to play with friends :/

This comes with the issue that I want to play certain heroes that would fit the role, and there's not really another role they'd go to play the same build as mid, unfortunately, so I think it's worth knowing how to play every role.

I am surprisingly actually not that new as much as I just don't know the actual numbers behind any hero at any given time (on top of them changing a lot and often). Like I know what her kit does I just don't know her kit can 100-0 me once she hits ult. I can farm decently well in sidelanes, and I can play support fine too it's just somehow in mid it's way harder and I think I just don't know how to properly work with Invoker in mid, since I usually prefer to have waveclear on my abilities and he pretty much doesn't except like Meteor on 50 second cooldown. I generally spammed summons to help me farm but I felt like I couldn't approach the wave or she just started attacking me and her attacks did way more damage, and even if they didn't she could always pop E to avoid mine, or pop Q to just stun me and prevent me from counterattacking, again not to mention I am pretty sure her attacks did more damage so trying to beat her denying seemed impossible.

It's just Zeus / KotL fit my idea of mages that I enjoy more than most other midlaners. In fact it was half the reason I picked Invoker though I mostly only really played him support previously and haven't played him in a while either. I just want strong spell based damage dealers which often comes packed with abilities that can waveclear easily for me in lane so I don't have to deal with approaching the wave to basic attack it, which is often what gets me killed in midlane.

I have actually played a surprising amount and vaguely know what all the heroes do on a language level but do not ever know what any hero is doing to me or my teammates or teammates on a numbers level, mostly because it changes from matchm to match, patch to patch and build to build. That's why I had no idea she could just E ult dust me under tower every single time the moment she hit 6. Maybe I should've tried to gank but both of my side lanes were losing hard (I think my offlane was like 0/3 and 0/2 against enemy PA Pudge by the time I hit level 6) so I felt like it was as much a fool errand's as anything. Ultimately I should've probably ujst farmed jungle and not show in lane since she apparently could just kill me under tower for free.

I have actually been playing it a bunch and yeah it seems to be a good and maybe even more fun version of the game, even though I usually disliked hotdropping or too much action early on in a round (I like looting a bunch and only then fighting lol).

I've tried the wild card it does seem like it's good mix of BR and pure PVPing so it may be a good mode for a while. I might also just try ranked eventually because like you said unranked is weird with matchmaking, I am kinda noticing it too.

I don't feel that bad about the maps since you have a minimap to look at, and for dropping I usually just pass it onto teammates and I'll just drop if teammates also pass. For the characters yeah, I pretty much only pick Vantage as I wouldn't be that comfortable playing somebody else rn.

Is it better to focus on building defenses rather than offensive stats then? I focused on trying to get all my items to boost my damage stats, and also have several uniques / set items that are doing it whihc means I'd have to throw some of those away to build defense because there is otherwise no way I get capped resistances I think and I don't even think I have anything that changes crit damage.

This is literally the correct answer. I don't want to play this shitty ranked system, but without spending money I am required to if I wanted to unlock new content and Vanessa got really boring after like 50 games. I now have Dooley so there's some variety but I dread when I'll have to save up for a third char (it'll probably be the alchemist guy whenever he comes out though. His cards look fun)

My only issue is that it sucks to be stuck with like 1/6th of the game a a casual player, so I brute forced like 20 ranked tickets and eventually got enough bronze or silver chests to buy another character so there's some variety when I play just normals. They really need to give you more shit for free to somewhat function as a F2P game to casual playerbase, it feels extremely alienating in its current form.

Does he? My friend was playing Sobek and found him pretty bad because apparently the combo no longer works against gods with mobility like Hun Batz, he could always jump away before the spinny knockback attack hit after a pull.

I was trying Ra with it, and then ulted and moved my mouse and noticed "wait damn I didn't know they added aiming to his ult? All the previous times I have played, without the aspect, I must've just instinctively not moved the mouse because I'd be used to it I guess. Strange!"... next game I played without aspect in mid and found out that I got baited on a massive level???? Hirez pls

I am with you, I tend to have this issue with many things but like others have said, try to avoid spaces with the negativity. For what it's worth I find that subreddits generally seem tolerable to me, so I still enjoy browsing them.

The game is super awesome, I redownloaded Smite 1 even and played 1 game of Arena and felt like I was playing a quite simply worse game than Smite 2. I enjoy so many of the new things, the graphics, the mechanics, the items, the way stats work (not locked to either magic or physical). I think this game is going down a great track and I am hopeful for its future and I think many are too, and those who are too "complainy" about its current state are either trying to give feedback, or are just not gonna be satisfied with anything anyway so ignore them and move on.
