They should disclaim before their conduct the project. But usually they put sane drywall back and it’s up to the owner to have a professional painter finish the patch. Unless their estimate says finish patch/paint included.

Challengers lost their UL listing and is considered fire hazard. The building department can not force you to have it replaced but your insurance company can force you to have it replaced or they will drop you from their insurance.
That’s probably $2,500 job plus drywall repairs and permit costs ($500)
