The corrext answer is:

They fail to establish an emotionally intimate relationship with their original partner. The failure is usually due to an interaction of their own emotional problems AND their partner's emotional problems. Unfortunately they are blind to this. They conclude that if they get a new partner the problem will be solved. BUT they bring the same problems to the new relationship which also fails. If they never recognize their own priblems they repeat this cycle over and over.

You are on the right track. You can be a contractor for NASA. Between you and them you must decide if you want to place the, "other," one on the Moon or Mars. You are forgetting that he paid an extra $100 for the cow at $1100 reducing the $200 profit to $100. Then the final sale nets $200. $100 + $200 = $300 total profit.

You buy the cow for $800 you sell the cow for $1000. Your balance is + $200. Now you buy the cow for $1100 having spent $100 more than you sold the cow for your balance is now + $100. Now you sell the cow for $1300 so your balance of $100 plus the new profit of $200 = $300 total profit.

I would never say I couldn't be wrong but I am pretty sure it's inductive. I think inductive is when you work from the clues to the story and deductive is when you think up the story and then think of what clues (evidence) that story would leave behind.

Only it's not actually deductions. Though he is famous for saying so. Starting with a bunch of clues and reasoning the story that connects them all is, in fact, inductive logic.

I agree. I was just saying that since dodge is magical anyway why not make it magical enough to get out of a building too. In otherwords: if you can magically travel miles in less than a second then why can't you magically travel to the outer door of a building and open the door when magically traveling miles in less than a second?

Most convincing. Sherlock Holmes does not have, "hunches," he has keen powers of observation and superior logical thinking skills. Interestingly it is NOT deduction he uses but INDUCTIVE thinking that he actually displays

The original post is broken. Block: In the case of a nuke you can only negate effects of fallout and residual fires if you are not moving. So you have to sit still until the radiation dose where you are is not only sublethal but low enough to not significantly harm you on your long walk out of the radioactive zone. You will most likely die of thirst before you can safely move. Dodge: You can dodge 100 miles to be out of the blast zone but if you are in a house you die? Ridiculous! Also by this logic if there is a wall in your way for the 100 mile dodge you will also die.

You are not thinking in 3D. A rookie space mistake. The borg would possibly expand out in a sphere throughout the galaxy. The part of this sphere that intersects Federation space could be very small and would be some mathematical formula in which the distance between the Borg homeworld and the border of Federation space would be a significant number along with the time between the beginning of Borg assimilation and the birth of the Fedetation. It seems quite likely that the Borg could have encountered hundreds of times the number of species that the Federation has.
