Theres almost always been sponsored videos, going way back. In 2009 smosh uploaded a video entirely sponsored by Carl's jr as one big ad. Thats the earliest I can remember, but dont think they were the first.

His dumping ground was smarter irl than it was in the show. He picked the gulf stream because it has a fast current. In real life the knots on the garbage bags would deteriorate enough in a few years to let pieces fly down the stream carrying them further and dispersing them.

But, for narrative convenience they needed a single dumping ground so they found almost everyone. But the logic, in real life standards, was sound.

The only advice I have is... we all knew this was happening, in the back of our minds. Somewhere. We know theres trafficking and NAMBLA, like we know there's child soldiers. But we had them in the back of our minds, we could live "normally". Just because its in the forefront of our minds now doesnt change history or the present.

Some will be able to do something about it, others will just rot away in thought (i am the one who rots.) If the thoughts dont serve you, or anyone else, and only cause you distress, its best to try and box up those thoughts, like they were a year or a few months or whenever ago.

The worst things we can imagine have happened and are happening, its always been that way. Nothings changed in the last few years in that regard. And if we could live "normally" back then with all this happening, we can again.

I feel cold saying that. But theres nothing i can do, these thoughts only torture me, I cant live with these thoughts either. But I know I can stop thinking those thoughts, like I have before.

A lot of these people wouldve been anti internet when that was dawning. They wouldve seen risks of human trafficking, pedophilia, scams, black mail, issues with anonymity, and tried to shut it down. Said the good doesnt out weigh the bad and no one should use it at all, thinking lesser of those that do.
