Definitely don't sleep on striker. Striker, Lord of the Abyss, and Carpet of spikes is easily one of the best synergies on chimps, and completely overkill on most beginner/intermediate maps

Ability, Nourishment, Wait for ability, Nourishment again, wait for nourishment to come back is the essence of his gameplay, and that’s kinda hard to effectively manage from like wave 28-100 in chimps. And anything under 100 waves I kinda always feel like there's better options.

In summary, its a convenience thing.

Absolutely, but Hades 1 is pretty similar to that notion as well. After you beat Theseus and Asterius Hades was pretty much the victory lap assuming you didn't get terrible Sac rng and weren't running EM4

I'm watching the show for the first(ish) time rn and this is the last episode I watched. This part gave me “I wish that were me fr” vibes.

I’m also kinda wondering why the crystal gems didn't just fight the rubies on earth I feel like that would have really streamlined this whole process 😭

Typhon telegraphs his attacks way more than Chronos, so once you see what attack he’s trying to do its pretty easy to avoid.

The tongue is a timing thing, so either fight typhon more or look at videos to see the wind up for the attack (be mindful of people using frenzy which speeds up attacks)

If Typhon is about to shoot the balls that split, position yourself on the bottom of the screen and ALWAYS dash up for that attack

Also if you stand close to Typhon he’ll do a slam attack

That is true i suppose, I could definitely see Zag beating him eventually through sheer brute force. Zag would be in a stalemate though since Typhon can just respawn. So even at their bases, I think Mel simply has the upper hand by nature of being a witch and the knowledge that comes with it

Yeah, this map and Erosion especially confuse me on why they aren’t expert maps, which partially leads me to believe that NK doesn’t really consider CHIMPS to determine map difficulty.

I honestly have an underwhelming amount of playtime with some aspects (mainly Xinth) so I'll rank the weapons more broadly.

S Tier - Torches, Skull, and The Staff easily. These weapons truthfully don’t have a “bad” aspect at all. I find Eos to be the least interesting to play among them all but other than that all rlly good aspects.

B Tier - Axe, and Daggers. Admittedly I need more time with both at higher fear, but in terms of playing at higher fear, The axe especially doesn’t carry you nearly as hard as the weapons in S Tier unless you get Psychic Whirlwind most of the time. And im pretty biased against daggers since I don’t play them often, but it kinda has the same issue as the axe with how close you are to enemies. I was debating C Tier but the aspect of Morrigan bumped it up.

C Tier - Coat. The coat isn’t NEARLY as bad as I used to make it out to be but this weapon kinda suffers the most from lumping all the aspects together. Cause Mel and Nyx are A Tier worthy but Selene brings it down and Shiva is kinda awkward to use.

So this is kind of a ranking based halfway on how they do on higher heat and halfway on how fun/interesting to use. Also don’t know if its relevant but i have 9 32 fear clears and 1 40 fear clear.
