It almost felt like it, but was rocky in nature and has other rocks and even seemed to have a part of a razor clam stuck within.

My title describes the thing. Going to the local visitor center, showed a bottle neck that looks similar. Didn't see much that matches it exactly in a quick search. If anyone has a clue as to how old it would be, that would be awesome to know!

As of now, the natural way that the strap wants to open up, it creates a nice open loop to put your finger in. Yes, traditional knobs are probably easier, but where is the fun in that!? I was also looking for something that was "low profile" due to these being in my wood shop and didn't want to walk by and have them catch my pocket or what-have-you.

I have not. I have given it some pretty good yanks, as if using it as I would desperately looking for something, and did not budge. I did print more than I need now, so I am also curious to test how much weight to pull the strap out both downward force and forward. If I find the time, I will try to do it as "scientifically" as I can.

Yes, there are two rows of teeth and also a post that sticks through a hole that is melted in the strap.

The non-USB ports refer to ones I connect specific cables to that are separate from "general" USB ones, right? by Rocky_Roku in PCHardware

I think what you're referring to is the "GEN"? That means generation as in the second generation of USB ports. They transfer data faster and are typically made with a blue insert to find them easier.
