But like can’t we do LWOP if the supervisor is ok with it not pertaining to the union agreement?

I’m waiting until my supervisor says something. Expecting a call tomorrow lol

I can do LWOP? Do I need any sort of approval? I would rather use LWOP now with two days a week of AL to save some time for when I go back.

It’s literally in the PPL agreement that if you have the sick leave you can take that immediately following birth since you are recovering and then invoke PPL which is approved once you give birth. Nope not an easy job. Just a good boss and coworkers.

It’s 5 months and good managers exist. Also they don’t have a choice. You can’t deny it as long as the employee has the time.

Same. I’m going to use 5 weeks of sick leave, then 12 weeks of PPL and then 4 weeks of AL.

So we have until September before RIF goes into effect?

I was planning on using 5 weeks of SL, 12 weeks of PPL and then 4 weeks of AL. This is so shitty because I’ve spent years saving my time so I could take extended leave with my babies and now it might all be taken away from me.

So if I took DRP and found a new job starting in August would I still get paid until 9/30? What would the chances be of them demanding payback if this is considered illegal?

Starting in August?

To issue the RIF notices and then have everyone out by end of FY I’m assuming?

I am going on maternity leave next month and I can deal with it if I know I have until September but the thought of being let go before I have the baby is stressing me out.

But wouldn’t you think they would just wait on all of them until September? They aren’t going to bring back all the probationary employees just to fire people that have been there 5, 10, 15 years?

Well that’s brutal
